John Stamos Gets Emotional In 67th Posthumous Birthday Tribute To Bob Saget

John Stamos has nothing but the fondest memories of his late friend and actor Bob Saget.

The “General Hospital” alum’s life was turned upside down after he learned that his best friend had died at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, during his comedy tour. The late star, who was 65, has now been honored by Stamos on what would have been her 67th birthday on Wednesday, May 17.

John Stamos Brings Back Bittersweet Memories For Bob Saget’s Posthumous 67th Birthday

Stamos got in touch with his emotional side as he marked his friend’s big day with a special social media tribute. A spokesperson for Project Cuddle took to Instagram to share a clip of her and Saget performing on an episode of “Historical Roast.”

The show saw Mary Todd Lincoln (Natasha Leggero), Harriet Tubman (Yamaneika Saunders), and John Wilkes Booth (Stamos) grill America’s 16th president, “Honest Abe” Lincoln (Saget). Underneath the nostalgic video, the “Never Too Young to Die” star wrote:

“Happy birthday @bobsaget. It still seems unreal. I think of you all day and think of all the wonderful birthdays we celebrated together. Usually I throw a giant expensive party and you take me to The Smokehouse in the Valley. I’ll be the John Wilkes Booth to your Abe Lincoln any day. I really miss you.”

“It’s still hard to believe that the funny man is no longer here to entertain us,” one fan sadly stated in the comments, as another wrote, “It will never feel real, it’s ridiculous. He still deserves to put on the show he can do.” A third fan commented:

“Thanks for this John, you him and Dave will always be brothers for life,” and a fourth claimed, “Missing Bob so much today! love you both!”

A fifth netizen commented, “Such a beautiful friendship can only live on after death,” and the official “Historical Roast” Instagram page added, “We love you John! We think of you and Bob and how amazing you are all the time.”

Stamos’ heartfelt update comes two months after he announced the release of his upcoming memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me” on Instagram. He uploaded a photo that featured him staring straight into the camera with a slight smile on what appeared to be a book cover.

In the caption, the “Losing It with John Stamos” host admitted that he was inspired to work on the book after Saget’s death because it made him realize the possibility of having “something” in his story that people could relate to.

The Soap Award winner stated that the book will be filled “with laughter, tears, and some fun fillers, just like life” before stating, according to The Blast, “What I find is that I am here for every pain and sadness because I am here for every joy. There’s more life to live beyond these pages, but so far it’s been a rough ride.”

The book is set to be released in October.

A walk down memory lane elicited emotional responses from followers, like this one who commented, “Love the way you look at Bob with so much love. Such beautiful memories for you to hold on to. Thanks for sharing with us.”

The second person declared, “That’s a very nice picture. Sweet sweet memories❤️,” and the third read, “The sweetest picture. Rip @bobsaget.” Meanwhile, the fourth individual said, “I hope this picture is from today ?”
