John Stamos starred in an episode of “Friends” titled “The One With The Donor”. Stamos plays Zack, Chandler’s (Matthew Perry) co-worker. Chandler and Monica (Courteney Cox) invite Zack to dinner to interview him as a potential sperm donor, however, Zack doesn’t know that’s why he’s invited, leading to an awkward yet hilarious interaction.

But, what many fans don’t realize is that Matthew Perry and John Stamos were friends long before he appeared in the “Friends” episode; So when Stamos guest-starred on “The One With The Donor,” the two often hung out backstage.

After the “Full House” cast learned of Perry’s passing, she took to social media to share a rare behind-the-scenes story. “Matthew and I have been friends long before ‘Friends,’ so when I guest-starred as Zach, a would-be sperm donor for Chandler and Monica, I hung out with him a lot,” Stamos wrote.

Stamos continued to tell the story. “We finished the scene and as I started to slide back into my dressing room and quit show business, Matt walked over to the studio audience: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, just hand it over to John Stamos! You guys might not recognize it at first because it’s better seen in person!’.”
