Former Marvel Star Jonathan Majors will be sentenced next week on Monday after being found guilty of harassing and assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
The actor’s defense team made a last-ditch attempt to get the jury verdict overturned, but a New York Judge denied the motion. Now, Majors faces possible prison time, as he could be sentenced to one year in prison.

New York Judge Michael Gaffey has reportedly rejected Majors’ motion to overturn his guilty verdict, handed down by a jury last December.
follow Deadline, the “Creed III” actor now faces a year in prison if sentenced on April 8, next week. The latest effort from the Hollywood star comes after his Jabbari hit him with yet another lawsuit.
Jabbari is suing Majors for battery, assault, and malicious prosecution, among other things. The professional model claims that her ex subjected her to a “pervasive pattern of domestic abuse that began in 2021 and continued into 2023.”
Majors’ attorneys said they would file a counterclaim. However, that has not yet happened.

Jabbari’s defamation claim stems from an interview Majors took part in after he was found guilty in the assault case.
The suit states: “After her arrest, Majors immediately implemented an extensive media campaign smearing Grace, claiming that she was ‘absolutely innocent,’ ‘a possible victim,’ that she ‘didn’t attack him at all,’ and that ‘this woman had an emotional crisis, for which he was taken to hospital.'”
Majors broke his silence on the guilty verdict during an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where he stated that he was surprised by the jury’s verdict.
He said, “I shouldn’t have been in the car. I shouldn’t have gotten out of the relationship. I shouldn’t have been in the relationship. If I hadn’t been in the car, none of this would have happened.”

Majors added, “I was really shocked and scared. How could that be? Based on the evidence, based on the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence.”

In an interview with TMZThe “Loki” actor shared his thoughts on Jabbari’s lawsuit, saying that he was “not surprised” that he made the move to sue him for defamation.
“I knew it coming from the beginning, really,” Majors told the publication while leaving a workout facility in Los Angeles with fitness expert Jason Best.
When pressed for additional information, Majors told the news outlet that he “can’t say much more about it,” adding that “the law” prevents him from elaborating.
Jabbari and Majors reportedly first met on the set of the Marvel movie and began dating for two years. However, their relationship soured in March 2023 following a domestic violence incident that took place in the back seat of a Cadillac Escalade.
