The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has also authorized the release of scathing audio and video evidence to the public. Jonathan Majors Will Not Testify When Defense Makes His Case

After Wednesday’s hearing, it was confirmed that the “Loki” actor will not testify at his trial. The defense has rested its case, and no more witnesses will be called to court.
The major’s legal team, consisting of Priya Chaudhry and Seth Zuckerman, brought just three witnesses to court earlier in the day and rested their case in the afternoon, with closing arguments set for Thursday.
After closing arguments, the jury will begin deliberations. Their decision could be made as early as Friday or next week, depending on how much time they need to deliberate.
Among the three witnesses called by the defense on Wednesday is Dr. Tammy Weiner, an emergency medicine physician, spoke as a medical expert and reviewed X-rays of Jabbari’s fingers and images of his injuries. Per Court NewsWeiner testified that he saw evidence of “any kind of twisting injury to the hand or other fingers” in his review of Jabbari’s injuries.

The judge reportedly rejected Major Chaudhry’s lawyer’s repeated questions to the doctor about whether the Major prying Jabbari’s finger off his cell phone—as the prosecution claimed—was the cause of his broken finger.
Chaudry reportedly asked, “Is the fracture on Ms. Jabbari’s finger consistent with your finger being twisted?” He went on to ask, “In your medical opinion, how did Miss Jabbari get this fracture in her finger?” and also, “How likely is the fracture in his finger to be sustained by twisting?” Judge Gaffey closed this question.

The alleged abuse victim, Jabbari, claims Majors assaulted her on March 25 after an argument over text messages that appeared on her phone. During his testimony last week, Jabbari revealed that the message read, “I wish I could kiss you right now.”
Upon seeing this, she tried to take the phone from Majors, but he allegedly grabbed the phone from her with force, leaving her with bruises and a broken finger. He also claimed he suffered a cut behind his ear as a result of the altercation.
Evidence In Jonathan Majors Trial Has Been Released Publicly

In a shocking turn of events, some of the evidence in Majors’ trial has been released to the public. This includes footage from the night of the abuse,e which saw Jabbari chase Majors following their car altercation.
The video shows Jabbari hot on Majors’ heels, chasing him across several blocks before finally stopping and talking to a group of strangers outside the building. The actor, who was running ahead of him, can be seen walking back towards the alleged victim in a calmer demeanor.
Earlier in the clip, Majors can be seen trying to force Jabbari into the vehicle, which is stopped at a red light.

The driver, Naveed Sarwar, who drove the couple in a chauffeured car, recently testified about the proceedings that took place between them. It left an aura of shock, as the driver involved in the incident claimed that the actor was not an aggressor.
Sarwar claimed that during the incident, he kept his eyes fixed on the road but “felt that the girl had hit the boy… because of the way she was fighting and the noise it was making.”
“The girl became very angry. He did nothing; he did,” the driver shared, adding that the actor tried to “get rid of” him. He also claimed that Majors “pushed him back into the car to get rid of him.”

Another piece of evidence from the case released Wednesday was Majors’ heated exchange with a tearful Jabbari.
Audio recordings from the incident, which took place in September 2022, captured a tense conversation between the “Antman and The Wasp Quantumania” cast and a professional dancer.
“I’m a great guy. A great man. I did a great thing,” Majors said in the recording, which was played in court last week. “The woman who supports me, who I support, has to be a great woman…and sacrifice.”

Majors, in the clip, referenced prominent black women, Coretta Scott King and Michelle Obama, as examples of women who supported their husbands’ journey to greatness, stating that that’s what she wanted Jabbari to do. The dancer, for her part, can be heard sobbing in the background of the clip as she apologizes to Majors.

Among the other evidence released were video clips of Jabbari lying on the floor in the closet of the apartment he shared with Majors; Majors 911 Calls; Photo of Jabbari’s injured finger and ear slit; and a text exchange between Majors and Jabbari in which she pleaded with him not to go to the hospital to treat the head wound.
