Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend and accuser, Grace Jabbari, took the witness stand for the fourth day in a row, where old text exchanges between the former couple were read.
In the text message, Majors appeared to tell Jabbari not to go to the hospital for his injuries, noting that it could lead to an investigation into a possible altercation they had earlier in March.
In an earlier hearing, Jabbari was grilled about his footage from the night of the attack, in which he was seen going to a nightclub and doing various activities with the hand he claimed was badly injured by Majors’ attack.
Jonathan Majors Begs Grace Jabbari Not To Go To Hospital

In a series of text messages read out on the seventh day of Majors’ trial, the Marvel star appeared to admit to attacking Jabbari in an incident that preceded his attack in the car. Majors begged her ex in a text exchange not to go to the hospital to treat herself, noting that it could lead to an investigation even if she “lied.”
“I’m afraid you don’t have perspective on what could happen if you go to the hospital,” the actor told Jabbari in a text message from September 2022. “They’re going to ask you questions, and because I don’t think you’re actually protecting us, it can lead to an investigation even if you’re lying, and they suspect something.”
He added, “It’s just fake,” but it’s not clear what exactly Majors meant by “fake.” No context for this was given in court.
Grace Jabbari Convinced Jonathan Majors Had To Lie About Cause Of His Injury In Old Text

In replying to his message, Jabbari appeared ready to protect Majors from getting involved, assuring the actor that he would lie to doctors about his injuries.
Jabbari, who allegedly read the text messages to jurors, said through tears, “I’m going to tell my doctor I hit my head.” At this point, the 30-year-old was overcome with emotion, prompting Assistant District Attorney Kelli Galaway to take over from him.
Galaway picked up where Jabbari left off: “I’ll tell the doctor I hit my head if I go. I would give it another day, but I can’t sleep and I need stronger painkillers. That’s it: why would I tell them what really happened when I clearly want to be with you?”
In response to Jabbari’s insistence that she go to the hospital, Majors threatens to kill herself if she follows him, though he assures the actor that he will protect her by lying about his head injury.

Majors wrote at the time, “Last night I considered killing myself rather than going home… I need love too. Or maybe I’m a monster and a horrible man, I don’t deserve it. And I should kill myself. In this way, my existence is miserable, I want to die.
Jabbari finally seemed to give in to Majors’ pleas, replying, “I’m not going to the doctor if you don’t feel safe with me doing so, or don’t trust me. I promise you that I will not mention you but understand your fear.
Several other texts from the September 2022 incident were read by prosecutors, including one in which Majors appeared to insist on killing himself because Jabbari refused to hug him after they spat.
“I am a monster, a horrible man, incapable of love. I’m going to kill myself soon,” the actor said at the time, to which Jabbari replied, “Jonathan, you can’t say this I have to tell someone.”

The old text messages are considered evidence of Monileux, previously disclosed in a pretrial filing by prosecutors in October, per People magazine.
According to the news channel, this previous incident of abuse was previously ruled unacceptable. However, after a series of questions during Jabbari’s cross-examination, which the presiding judge, Judge Michael Gaffey, said were too vague, the defense inadvertently gave way to prosecutors to present text messages from past incidents in front of the jury.
After reading the old text messages, Galaway shifted the focus of his re-examination of Jabbari to the incident from March 2023. He questioned Jabbari about why he initially told emergency personnel that he did not know how he had been injured.
Jabbari responded that he was “just afraid of the consequences” and that he “still wanted to protect” Majors.
Galaway then asked, “Ms. Jabbari, Do you know who caused your injury on March 25, 2023?” and Jabbari replied, “I did,” adding that it was “the defendant, Jonathan Majors.”

During Jabbari’s cross-examination on Thursday, Priya Chaudhry, one of Majors’ lawyers, presented the dancer with video footage of her trip to the nightclub within hours of the alleged assault.
Chaudhry questioned Jabbari about the video, which shows the 30-year-old man appearing to use the hand he claims was injured during the Majors attack. Earlier, the lawyer had asked the professional dancer if she was left-handed, and she affirmed.
Jabbari was later shown using his injured hand to lift a champagne glass, arrange his hair, and check his bag in a video clip shown in court for jurors.

“You pick lemons with your right hand?” Chaudhry asked Jabbari. “And you put a lime in your mouth? You suck on the lemon, and then you put the rest of the lemon peel back on the bar with your right hand, right?”
In response to the query, Jabbari revealed that he did not know the extent of his injury due to adrenaline until he went to bed and woke up the next morning feeling “like [she] hit by a bus.”
During cross-examination, Jabbari became very emotional and at one point left the witness stand to take a break, with Majors watching from his seat.
The actor faces up to one year in prison if found guilty of assault and harassment.
