Jordan Cashmyer Cause of Death
MTV ’16 and Pregnant’ star Jordan Cashmyer passed away on January 16, 2022 according to TMZ. His cause of death was not given by the medical examiner who certified his death. Jordan’s father Dennis M. Cashmyer first shared the news of his death on Facebook.
“Last night I received a call that no parent would ever want. My beloved eldest daughter Jordan passed away, she was only 26 years old. Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should have to go through the loss of a child, EVER. Please keep my family in your prayers as we work through this tragedy,” continued Cashmyer’s stepmother. “Please understand and respect our privacy at this time. We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, granddaughter Lyla, and our extended family.”
According to In Touch Weekly, Jordan wrote in a blog post in 2014, “For the past two years, I have struggled with addiction … I practically used my body as a garbage can and would put whatever was given to me into the body I got to the point where I wanted to die. I had lost everything I loved in life and felt that I had nothing to live for, so I was hospitalized for about a week.”
She continued, “I was hospitalized twice after my 20th birthday with pancreatitis from drinking too much and borderline alcohol poisoning. The worst part was I hated the way it made me feel, really negative and numb, totally against myself, but I keep doing it because I feel as if I’d rather feel anything than feel what I feel … I’ll take anything that’s offered to me. Whether it’s coke, Xanax, whatever, I’ll take it, which could almost kill me.”

Jordan Myers had two daughters at the time of his death. She had her first daughter with ex-boyfriend-turned-father Derek Taylor. Jordan and Derek welcomed their daughter Genevieve Shae Taylor on March 7, 2015.
But, soon after appearing on the show, the two of them broke up as their relationship soured. Jordan and Derek are struggling to find a home and they are financially strapped. In addition, she also opened up about dealing with anxiety and depression after the birth of her daughter.

In 2018, Jordan has started dating a man named Keith Boyer who looks more than twice her age. In her penultimate post before her death, she posted a picture of her then-boyfriend. He captioned it, “I’m not perfect, not even close. I am stubborn and selfish, controlling and possessive. I make a lot of stupid decisions and sometimes don’t understand my actions but this man has seen, dealt with, helped, and loved me through the worst of it. He has completely changed the way I feel about love and life.”
She ended the post with, “I’m so proud of her and feel so blessed to be able to call her “mine”. I’ve kept my joy in posting our life together because of other people and their negativity. I’m so glad we’re at a point in a relationship us that irrelevant outsiders won’t affect us. I love you baby❤”
However, the relationship did not last long.

Jordan Cashmyer was born to his father Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr. His birth mother remains anonymous but his father married his stepmother Jessica Cashmyer on November 7, 2003. His father currently works at Cashmyer Management Company LLC. Meanwhile, his mother is from Kingsville, Maryland, and attended Towson University.
