Josh Gad Rides Splash Mountain: ‘Mistakes Were Made’

Josh Gad, best known for voicing the lovable snowman Olaf in the “Frozen” franchise and for portraying Lefou in Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast,” recently visited Walt Disney World.

Over the weekend, Gad was scheduled to narrate the Candlelight Procession at EPCOT, but before his performance, he decided to experience everything Disney World Park has to offer.

The 41-year-old rode Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom, which will close forever on Jan. 24. Disney had previously announced that it would change the entire attraction to one focused on “The Princess and the Frog” in a move toward more inclusivity.

Gad decided to sit in the front row of the Splash Mountain boat, which, in turn, got him completely soaked on the iconic 50-foot drop.

“A mistake has been made. #DisneyWorld @waltdisneyworld #SplashMountain,” Gad captioned the video he shared to Instagram.

The camera shows a POV of the boat going down before panning to Gad, who is seen drenched in splashes.

The “Frozen” cast can be heard screaming and laughing in the video, riding Disney World attractions with friends and family and VIP guides. “Mountain of Love and Thunder. #WaltDisneyWorld @waltdisneyworld #bigthundermountain,” Gad wrote on Instagram.
