Harris grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and was born in 1965 into a Jewish family. The Field School in Washington, DC, served as his high school. Harris earned a BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1986 and went on to earn an MBA at Harvard Business School as a Baker Loeb Scholar.
