Women MPs and office bearers of our party, including me, marched peacefully from our AICC headquarters today. We are women’s party workers. We have exercised our democratic right to protest. Delhi Police was brutal with us. Some members of the paramilitary were also there. They dragged me and others. They use brutal force. About ten people took me and threw me and the others into the bus. We object. About 60-70 policemen were there. They refused to give us water for an hour. We tried to buy water but they threatened the waterwallah and sent him out. Be it a woman or a woman MP or a MP of any political party, this is not the way to behave. This is not the democracy we want.”
