Journalist Frank Elaridi was reportedly surprised when he met rock icon, Courtney Love!

The journalist recently claimed she got a taste of the rock star life when she was groped by the lead on the first meeting. In a recent interview, she detailed her unsettling experience and also called out the double standard in the repeal movement.

In a thought-provoking musing, the author recalls a past encounter with the 58-year-old, who she claims groped her crotch forcefully while they were taking pictures. Elaridi’s introspection raises important questions about the criteria that should determine the “cancellation” of public figures based on their behavior.

During an episode of his podcast “Quite Frankly,” he emphasized that his intention was not to “undo” Love but to bring attention to the perceived double standard between men and women.

The host revealed that about six to ten years ago, when he was about 24 years old, he worked for Nightline and was assigned to interview songwriters at Coachella. He told what happened, he said:

“I was at the after party interviewing him in the next room, and then he was like, come hang out with us. So I did. We took a picture together, and the second picture was done, he grabbed my crotch really hard.”

The award-winning journalist continued, “And I was like off guard. So there’s a picture because someone across the room took it and sent it to me.” As she laughed with her guests, the controversial photo featured the “Straight to Hell” guest star and Elaridi posing together, with her hands tightly gripping her crotch, while she had a shocked expression.

Podcast guest TV producer Nahko then asked if she wanted to “cancel” him, to which she replied, “That’s what I said. It never crossed my mind to leave after this, like ten years later. He’s a rockstar. In my head, not to justify or say it’s ok, but in my head, it would never cross my mind to do that. Is it because she’s a girl and I’m a boy?”

The Edward Murrow Award winner emphasized that her intention in sharing the story was not to call for the “Nobody’s Daughter” singer’s cancellation or problems but to start a dialogue about the existence of double standards between men and women. He has explained:

“Courtney was nothing but nice when I interviewed her, and I really thought she was just playing a rock star. He probably thinks he’s going to give this kid a picture to show his friends and talk about years from now.”

Elaridi stated that he did not consider his actions predatory but insisted that men in the public eye had faced severe consequences for lesser offences. He stated, “I hope we get to a place where we have open and honest conversations and give people a chance to grow and develop, instead of just accusing them and discarding them forever.”

‘Pretty On The Inside’ Singer Praises Johnny Depp’s Act of Heroism

The “Pirates” actor has been embroiled in a bitter defamation court battle with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, for more than six weeks. Fans will recall that their dispute can be traced back to 2018 when the “Aquaman” actor wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post, claiming they survived sexual assault and domestic violence without specifically naming Deep as the perpetrator.

However, it was widely inferred that she was referring to her ex-husband. Throughout the legal ordeal, The Blast reported that several figures from among the 59-year-old man supported him.

One such person, Love, made headlines recently when he praised his friend’s heroic actions in 1995. He expressed his gratitude in a now-deleted Instagram video, saying, “I don’t want to make judgments publicly. I want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside the Viper Room.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star previously owned the place, and it’s important to note that during the “Celebrity Skin” singer incident, she was dealing with the heartbreaking loss of husband and Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain.
