Not all celebrities have the same personality behind the camera as they do off screen, but Judge Judy certainly does. The reality TV star revealed that people are scared of her in real life, including her former neighbour, Justin Bieber.
The singer, who rose to fame at the tender age of 13, lived next door to Judy and was “scared to death” of her at the time. The fear was so intense that he reportedly paid his security to keep an eye on him because he didn’t want to run into him.
Although they’ve never spoken out in public, reality star Hakim once called Bieber out on what he believed to be “stupid” behavior. However, all this is in the past, and the “Baby” singer is now having his best time with his wife, Hailey Baldwin. The TV personality, who has starred on her court show “Judge Judy” for 25 seasons, opened up to Access Hollywood about how scared Bieber is of him. In response to her feelings about living next to the star in 2017, she said, “She’s scared to death of me.”
At the time, Judy wasn’t a fan of him either, as she remembered that his behavior annoyed her. He also states, in his defense, that he was younger then and is now a better person. “There was a period of time before he grew up when he was stupid, and did stupid things,” he said.
The reality judge later recalled with a laugh that the “Stuck With U” singer was also paranoid when running into her. According to him, he will have his security personnel tell him when Judy is outside so that he avoids her path.

The 80-year-old revealed that the now 28-year-old would tell security to let him know when he planned to leave the house so he would stay there. “I must have said something about it,” he recalled, “and then, I understood that he paid the people at the front door to tell them when I was there, coming and going, so that he wouldn’t have to run into me.”
Although the two have never appeared publicly together, Judy has publicly commented on Bieber’s lifestyle following his arrest in 2014. She spoke to CBS at the time about how much he had abused his chance to become a celebrity.

Legal professionals accused the “Honest” singer of being ungrateful and “stupid” following the arrest. The 20-year-old got into trouble in Miami Beach for driving under the influence and speeding. Police reportedly pulled him over for speeding, and he failed a field sobriety test shortly after. The singer later admitted to taking Marijuana, alcohol, and some prescription drugs.
In response to this, Judy told the news channel how upset she was with him. He stated that Beiber had wasted his “gift” to “be a celebrity” and behave badly. “You can treat either [fame] respectfully or you can make a fool of yourself. And he does a really good job of making a fool of himself.”
He then added that his behavior would affect his career in the future if he continued down that path. He said per Many people, “No one will remember that he was a marginal singer. But they’ll remember a little kid who had a chance to have it all and blew it by acting like a fool.”

The “Somebody To Love” singer and Baldwin, who married in September 2018, announced their anniversary on Instagram with a sweet tribute to each other. Bieber captioned the post, “Happy birthday to my best friend and wife,” tagging the model and thanking her for “making her better in every way.”
Baldwin also posted beautiful photos of the couple together and wrote, “4 years married to you, the most beautiful human being I have ever known… love of my life. Thank God for you.” The couple also welcomed their new puppy Piggy Lou with some adorable photos on the app as Bieber posed with the new pup and Oscar, who joined the group in 2018.
