When she was in college, she met Rajat Sharma who was her senior. After a few months, they were introduced to each other through mutual friends. Later, they go on a journey with their common friends, and in the middle of their journey (via train), Rajat proposes to Jyotika, but she does not reciprocate. In the final semester of college, while Jyotika goes to South Korea on scholarship and Rajat is in Chandigarh, she realizes her love for Rajat, and the couple starts dating each other. After dating for several years, the couple got engaged on November 5, 2021 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Jyotika wore a Rubina Dilaik lavender lehenga on her engagement day.

Career
In 2020, amid the coronavirus shutdown, he returned to his home in Shimla and started a self-titled YouTube channel. He uploads daily vlogs on his YouTube channel, and as of December 2021, he has about 679K subscribers on his channel.
