Following the breakup announcement, which both Bristowe and Tartick made in a joint Instagram post, the “Bachelor” alum took to her Instagram Story to share a selfie, in which she appeared to have been crying, with the words “See you soon. Happy stay for now.”
In a second Instagram Story, Bristowe wrote, “If everyone could say some kind of prayer for both of our hearts, we would love it. I just know social media can be bad so take a break.”
Now, just a week and a half later, the 38-year-old has returned to Instagram, sharing that “everything is going to be fine”.
“Not to spoil the ending for you. But you’ll be fine ❤️,” she wrote alongside a series of photos, including a selfie, a bouquet of flowers and a photo of herself crying.
Just days before announcing her split from Jason Tartick, rumors began circulating that the two had split after Kaitlyn Bristowe took to Instagram to share her new single, “If I’m Honest”.
“Just because I’m an open book, doesn’t mean you get the whole story,” the lyrics read. “And if I’m honest, I’m not always as strong as I look. And I can enjoy my moments, but words can get the best of me.”
“And the words I say to myself are the most effective, if I’m honest,” the song continues.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tatrick started dating in 2019 and the couple got engaged in 2021. Earlier this month, the two took to Instagram to announce they had decided to split.
“After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking time to properly process it ourselves, it is with a heavy heart that we are saddened to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” the couple wrote on social media. “We are grateful to all of you who have given us the time and space to process this life-changing decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”
The couple went on to explain how they plan to remain friends and will continue to look after their two dogs, Ramen and Pinot, together. “Our dogs Ramen & Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers,” they wrote. “Even if their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and care for them together.”
“Continuing our friendship is very important to both of us. We feel grateful to end our engagement with love and respect for each other,” they continued. “It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for each other will never die.”
Tartick and Bristowe concluded with, “We are so grateful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Going forward we will always have a level of support for each other. We don’t know what the future holds, so please try to make room for us in your heart.”
