Career
From 1976 to 1979, Kaity Tong worked as a reporter for KPIX-TV in San Francisco. In December 1979, he was named co-anchor of the newscast at KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California. In 1981, he joined WABC-TV in New York City. Within two years, he was promoted to co-counsel, working with Tom Snyder and Ernie Anastos. He has also worked as a news anchor for television series and films such as Spider-Man, City Hall, Marci X, and Night Falls in Manhattan.
She became the main female anchor of the station in 1992. Surprisingly, she is still working at the station. She was the first woman to be awarded by Rotary International and the New York Women’s Agenda with a Star award. She also received the Chinese-American Planners Council’s Distinguished Woman award.
