Kaley Cuoco’s boyfriend, Tom Pelphrey, is opening up about becoming a father for the first time!
As you know, the Hollywood sweethearts welcomed their first child, Matilda Carmine Pelphrey, earlier this month. Before her birth, the Netflix star did everything, making sure her daughter was comfortable.

The proud dad was all smiles as he discussed his life with his newborn daughter during a conversation with Access Hollywood. When asked the most surprising thing about being a dad, the “Guiding Lights” actor revealed that he surprisingly discovered that being a dad is his talent.
She said, “I was surprised how natural it felt. I’ve been around my nieces and other babies in my family. I was a little afraid to hold them, to touch them. Not wanting to break them.”
The “Ozark” actress continued, “But as soon as they handed me, Matilda, I felt comfortable holding her. I felt comfortable moving her around and changing her. And that was a surprise.”
Pelphrey went on to highlight how natural he is as a father. She mentions her specialty burping her toddler and the nurse compliments her skills. She also said she was able to swaddle babies and change diapers.
For Pelphrey, changing diapers is an excuse to take care of her little one. She said, “I changed all the diapers at the hospital because it was like my excuse to steal it back. Others hold it; he needs a diaper change, I’ll do it, and then I’ll save him.”
The first time Dad revealed his reaction when he first met his little boy. She said: “I’m just shaking. My heart is full. I’m so grateful that he’s obviously in good health and it’s a miracle.”
He continued, “You’re almost in a state of happy shock, you know? And then you wake up the next day, and it’s like,, ‘Wait, it’s real. Yeah, it’s ours!'”
When asked to rate how close he is to his daughter, on a scale of one to ten, the actor broke the scale, answering “eleven.”
There is no denying that the actress is very fond of her daughter, even Cuoco confirmed it. A few days after the birth of their daughter, the “8 Simple Rules” actress uploaded a photo of Matilda and her dad relaxing together. In the caption, the new mom called her girl “Daddy’s Girl.”

Cuoco and Pelphrey’s daughter arrived days before Easter. Therefore, the couple spent the holiday as first-time parents. The pictures uploaded by the “Bewitched” actress show that she and her partner are very excited to spend the day with their son.
In the first image with the “Happy Easter” gif, the three are seen enjoying time by the pool at their home. The “Iron Fist” actor, who sported a casual gray t-shirt and dark black pants, held little Matilda, who was wearing a pastel-colored dress and bow.

The “Flight Attendant” star stood next to Pelphrey, wearing a floral white dress. She kept the look natural and tied her blonde hair up in a bun. Cuoco, who is just as obsessed with her newborn, put her left hand on the little girl and kissed her head.
Stealing the spotlight for herself is a stunning jewel on Cuoco’s ring finger, which may hint she plans to walk down the aisle soon. Pelphrey’s ring finger also has a similar gem.
The gorgeous ring was also featured in another image shared by the Emmy-nominated actress. In the photo, she wraps her left arm around her handsome man, still holding a yawning Matilda.
While the couple may be planning to tie the knot, they continue to enjoy their new parenthood.
