Kamala Harris was mocked online Saturday for busting the “granny movement” during a White House party she hosted to celebrate Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary.
Critics pounced on the Vice President for meandering through a series of tired, empty shuffles at an outdoor party.
“Kamala Harris with granny moves at her Hip-Hop 50th Anniversary party,” political commentator Anthony Brian Logan says at X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Pure cringe,” another user wrote, as others called it the “Cackle Shuffle” in an apparent reference to the Vice President’s laughter.
A reviewer just said “yuck.”
The vice president couldn’t seem to contain himself during the hip-hop party when the DJ started playing Q-Tip’s 1999 smash hit “Vivrant Thing.”
Dressed in hot pink slacks and a ’90s neon blouse, the 58-year-old stood stiffly in place and nodded along to the music with a smile on his face, video show.
“What?” Harris spoke up before swinging his arms in the classic “Roll It” motion.

Harris tried to sing along to the top of the Billboard charts but didn’t seem to know any words other than the chorus.
Finally, the second-in-command chose a simple dance pattern — waving one hand in the air while swinging from one leg to the other.
Some online tributes saw the clip of the VP’s footwork and couldn’t resist the opportunity to slam the dancing Democrats for enjoying a music-themed party while the country deals with a host of issues, including inflation and the aftermath of the devastating Maui fires.
“Dance Kamala because Hawaiians are still wailing, baby!” said a user X.
“His dance moves are comparable to his level of skill in dealing with our border crisis,” wrote another.
One critic denounced the politician with a simple but devastating nickname: “Kringemala Harris.”

The whine-quick move isn’t the first time Harris has put on a display that’s generated a long-running Internet conversation.

She was relentlessly mocked in June after Bravo host Andy Cohen released a clip of her leaning back stiffly and bowing her head while showing him Kylie Minogue’s “Padum.”
“I love it, I love it!” he said before turning into cackles.
