Controversial rapper and founder of Yeezy, Kanye West has a chance to be chosen with the shoe giant and former partner Adidas.
West took to social media to accuse Adidas of selling “fake” shoes under his name and said the company is also suing him for $250 million.
The rapper also took the opportunity to ask his fans for help by telling his followers not to patronize the shoe brand if they “love” him.
Kanye West Accuses Adidas of Selling Fake Yeezys

On his Instagram page, the “All of The Lights” hitmaker slammed the shoe brand for using their business experience and contract clauses to “rape artists.”
He claimed that Adidas sold fake Yeezys, refused to pay him, and, in addition, also sued him for a large amount.
Obviously, using the word “rape” to describe a business or financial dispute may not be the right way to address the issue.
“Anyone who likes Ye won’t buy these fake Yeezys I never made these colors that way I didn’t get paid by them and Adidas is suing me,” West wrote. “All these celebrities and people will be against my T-shirt or the color of my hat but when you see me hiding my children from me or see a Fortune 500 company that actually raped one of your heroes in real life, don’t nobody say anything- do or do nothing.”
The rapper continued, “As far as the system goes What you’ve lost do now Cancel my album again Freeze my account again Threaten people not to work with me anymore All the unapproved 350’s are good.”
Kanye West Says Adidas Is Suing Him For $250 Million
West shared a video in another post where he revealed that Adidas is suing him for $250 million.
He said, “Let me explain clearly to you what happened with Adidas. Not only did they release an unapproved fake colorway, they sued me for $250 million, and they didn’t even pay me for the shoes they released, which had my name on them.”
West added, “And they used contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist. One of your favorite artists, right in front of you in broad daylight.”
While it’s unclear how bad things actually got between West and Adidas, the relationship between the rapper and the shoe brand was visibly strained after he made a series of anti-Semitic comments in 2022.
Adidas was under intense pressure to cut ties with West at the time, but the brand initially refused. However, after West claimed that he could “say anti-Semitic s—” and Adidas wouldn’t be able to do anything, the brand quickly dropped him.
