Kanye West Almost Filed For Bankruptcy After Losing $2 Billion Due To Anti-Semitism

Kanye West has revealed how much his anti-Semitic controversy has really cost him.

Amid praise for his Super Bowl Yeezy ad, the rapper revealed he’s “two months” away from filing for bankruptcy after losing more than $2 billion in a day.

He shared that Yeezy made millions from the ad, and his new album, “Vultures,” topped charts worldwide. Fans also heaped praise on West, calling the ad pure marketing genius and one of the “greatest” Super Bowl commercials ever. West himself was with his wife Bianca Censori and wore black from head to toe.

West recently revealed that he is only “two months away” from declaring bankruptcy after his massive anti-Semitic scandal in 2022.

At the time, the scandal became so big that Adidas ended their partnership with his Yeezy company, which cost West $2 billion and his billionaire status.

During his conversation with the news outlet, West said he put “everything [he] has” into Yeezy’s Super Bowl ad for the brand’s new collection and its new album, “Vultures.”

The rapper explained that when the financial backlash from his anti-Semitic scandal began, he decided to move out of America with his wife, Bianca Censori.

He said, “We moved to Italy. We moved to the factory, and we survived. We survived the cancellation. We’re back number one.”

West is indeed slowly rebuilding his way back into the world of music and business despite some minor controversies surrounding his choice of clothing for him and Censorship and his anti-Semitic remarks.

During the interview, West also revealed that Yeezy has generated $19.3 million from Super Bowl ads, and the Vultures have held down the number one spot in 100 countries. When asked if he believes the scandal actually “helped” him, the “Praise God” rapper said, “It’s not about the controversy. It’s about being able to express your feelings out loud.”

He explained, “If I didn’t have a diverse set of musical skills and clothes and a fan base, they would have been able to destroy me. But because we have all those skills, somehow I’m here in this universe able to fight.”

The rapper was also asked if he regrets making the controversial anti-Semitic statement, and he said that everyone “is entitled to their opinion.”

West’s famous Super Bowl ad was actually a very simple promotion for his brand and music and was shot in the back of a car.

In it, West said, “Hey guys, this is Ye, and this is my ad … (my team) spends all the money on commercial spots (so we) don’t actually spend money on actual ads. But the idea is I want you to go to Yeezy.com. I wrote it at the bottom of the screen … and I got some shoes, and ummmm … that was it.”

While West’s ads may seem strange, especially when compared to big, shiny project ads done by other brands, many fans appreciate the simplicity. After it went live, many took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts, calling it a stroke of marketing genius.

One fan wrote, “The genius that is Kanye West. Put an ad in the Super Bowl that will trend outside of the Super Bowl.”

Another tweeted, “I didn’t watch the Superbowl but I’ve seen this ad 3 times. Quite a genius you really are.”

West himself was also at the Super Bowl to cheer on the Kansas Chiefs as they won yet again. The “All of the Lights” rapper is in the same arena as two famous women from his past, musical rival Taylor Swift and ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

West remained in full camouflage as he walked into the stadium hand in hand with Censori. The Grammy Award-winning rapper wore a black cross mask by Alexander McQueen, a black leather jacket and shiny leather pants. The censors were also dressed in black, wearing shiny hooded jackets and accessories.

After the Super Bowl event, the rapper took to his social media page to share multiple pornographic videos similar to his Censorship. Later, he lashed out at fans who questioned his reasons for sharing the video clip, stating that his wife “makes him happy.”
