Kanye West Axed By Talent Agency CAA Amid Anti-Semitic Tirades

Kanye West’s losses now outweigh his wins.

The rapper was dropped by his talent agency, Creative Arts Agency.

CAA is a well-known talent agency and it represents several celebrities.

“Across film, television, music, sports, digital media, marketing, and beyond, we represent thousands of actors, directors, writers, producers, musical artists, comedians, authors, athletes, coaches, world-leading broadcasters, teams, leagues, chefs, designers, fashion talent, consumer brands and more,” according to their ‘About’ page.

According to a new report from DiversityKanye is no longer a client at CAA.

In addition to this latest blow, a full-length documentary about the fashion designer-turned-rapper has been canceled by MRC studios.

MRC studio executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley announced the document had been shelved in a memo on Monday, October 24.

BSMM “Cannot Support Any Content That Strengthens Its Platform”

“This morning, after discussions with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we have made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our newly completed documentary on Kanye West. We cannot support any content that reinforces its platform,” they wrote. “Kanye is a music producer and role model. Last week he tried and remixed a classic that has been recorded for over 3,000 years — the lie that the Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.”

The statement continued, “The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism in general is disappointing but not surprising. What is new and sad is the fear of Jews to speak up.”

Kanye’s anti-Jewish rant began earlier this month where he threatened to do “deathcon 3 against JEWS.”

He followed up the shocking tweet, which got him temporarily banned from both IG and Twitter, with several television interviews in which he showed zero remorse for his comments.

Over the weekend, Kanye fans hung a banner from an overpass on the 405 freeway praising his recent anti-Semitic comments.

One banner read, “Kanye is right about the Jews,” while another read, “Honk if you know.”

Demonstrators raise their hands in Nazi salute.

Kanye West Fans Spread Anti-Jewish Hate

Words have consequences. Kanye threatens to start killing Jews. Now the Nazis have mobilized & asked people to honk if they want to kill Jews. This is very dangerous. Any company – incl @adidas – who continue to do business with Kanye are complicit in this attack on Jews. pic.twitter.com/9APqJIn0Md

Other talent agencies that represented Kanye for a short period condemned his statement and the spread of hate speech.

UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer sent a company-wide email stating, “Unfortunately, antisemitism, racism and other forms of hatred and intolerance are part of the fabric of society. In general, they live as an epidemic that erodes the health of society and is fought with understanding, tolerance and the general kindness of most people. But throughout history some have used their public platforms to loudly spew the plague and spread the contagion to dangerous effect. Kanye is the latest to do so, and we see how his words encourage others to reinforce their vile beliefs. I have also seen copies of gruesome antisemitic leaflets left this weekend on doorsteps in an LA neighborhood, suggesting that 405 banners is not the end.”

Kim and Khloe Kardashian along with Kylie Jenner have issued a public response to Kanye’s recent actions.

“Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand with the Jewish community and call for the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric against them to stop immediately,” Kim tweeted.
