After hiring, firing, or being fired by five lawyers, the rapper has new legal representation.
This time, Ye hired Melinda Gates’ divorce lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, of Cohen Clair Lans Greifer Thorpe & Rottenstreich LLP.

Cohen is based in New York and their divorce is pending in the state of California, so Kanye went ahead and hired ANOTHER lawyer on the West Coast.
According to reports, the “Yeezy” designer has sought the legal guidance of Nicholas A. Salick of the Salick Family Law Group, APLC.
A rap lawyer in NYC, Cohen has represented heavy hitters such as Rupert Murdoch, Chris Rock, Athina Onassis and many more.

Spector claimed his relationship with his client, Kanye, was “irreversible”, but would not elaborate.
The divorce attorney had a date set next week to formally withdraw, but the judge felt better and granted her request to withdraw on Friday.
In May, Explosion reported exclusively on Spector filing legal documents to withdraw from his ongoing and never-ending divorce from Kardashian.
According to the legal document, obtained by ExplosionSpector filed to withdraw from the high-profile family law case.

In the filing, Spector said there was an irreconcilable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship. Interestingly, there isn’t much more information about why Kanye lost his premier lawyer, except that the case will be handled by one of his other lawyers…for now. The person listed in the document is an out-of-state attorney from Pennsylvania who is not a divorce attorney.
Spector came into the picture when Kanye was going WILDIN on the Kardashians and making wild claims on social media.
As we reported, Kanye hired her after complaining that the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star was keeping her children away from him.
In February, the ‘Skims’ founder made allegations that she was under “constant attack” by her ex-husband since their split.
“As a parent who is the primary provider and nurturer for our children, I do my best to protect our daughter while allowing her to express her creativity in the medium she desires with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness,” she wrote.
