Ever since the school was launched, there has been a lot of skepticism about it, mainly due to the fact that it is not accredited and also forces parents to sign a non-disclosure form.. Rolling stone reports that opening the school has been the rapper’s lifelong dream.

“I want to stress that there was never a time that Kanye West didn’t want to do this,” a school representative said. “I think people don’t understand the gravity of the matter. This man always wanted to establish a school in his mother’s name.”

Another school representative, Tamar Andrews, shared that the school is not very popular and only wants the right people to come.

“Honestly, we don’t care if people know about the school,” said the Donda employee. “The people who want to come to the school are looking for a good Christian school in the area, and they know that we are there … There are also certain celebrities who come by joining Donda. So, I don’t know that we have to advertise, which is a blessing and a curse.”
