Balenciaga officially cut ties with the West late last year after the Anti-Semitism and “White Lives Matter” controversy. Before they broke up, the rapper had a close relationship with the label and worked with Demna, its creative director.

West and Censori were recently photographed shopping at the Balenciaga store in Beverly Hills. Every photo shared through Page Sixthe rapper wore his usual all-black ensemble, with big black boots to accessorise.
His new “wife”, Censori, took a more colorful route as she wore a large, puffy looking yellow coat, along with thigh-high black boots.
The rapper and fashion brand Balenciaga have been at the center of controversy in recent months, with West being banned for his anti-Semitic remarks on Twitter. He was also heavily criticized for his “White Lives Matter” shirt design.
Balenciaga, on the other hand, was involved in their ad campaign showing children with teddy bears dressed in BDSM-inspired clothing. Another set of ads featured multiple court documents regarding child pornography laws in America. The famous fashion brand and its creative director, Demna, have apologized for the controversial ad.
The brand’s apology statement read, “We want to address the controversy surrounding our recent ad campaign. We strongly condemn child abuse; we never intended to include it in our narrative. The two separate ad campaigns in question reflect a series of egregious mistakes for which Balenciaga is responsible.”

Ironically, Balenciaga officially ended their relationship with the West after its Anti-Semitic controversy. Before that, the “Selamat Pagi” rapper worked closely with the label and even collaborated with Demna several times. They both worked on the Yeezy Gap clothing collection and designed some clothes for West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
Just days before the brand cut ties with West, he made his runway debut at their Paris Fashion Week show. Despite cutting ties with him, West doesn’t seem to mind co-founding the brand with his wife, Censori. Instead, Kardashian ended her relationship with the brand after being heavily criticized by fans for remaining silent during the scandal.

According to Censori’s LinkedIn profile, he has worked for West’s company, Yeezy, as an architectural designer, for several years. On the day news of their wedding broke, West and Censori were seen arriving together at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills. They have also been seen several times out together since they got married.
