Essay on Kargil Vijay Diwas
Kashmir is the crown of India. This region is less than paradise. It has beautiful mountains and landscapes that can take our breath away. Some of the highest peaks are found in Kashmir. This beautiful land is also the most unfortunate part of India. It has never seen the sunshine of freedom. The beautiful green land is drowned in the blood of Indians and our brave soldiers.
Most of Kashmir is with Pakistan and this is the pain of every Indian. There is constant fighting between the two countries of India and Pakistan. Kashmir is beautiful but it is also a battlefield. The sound of guns and military operations quos can be heard from far away from the mountains.
The dispute between the countries started with the Kargil war of 1947-1948 and this was the time when the line of control was established to protect our borders from the enemy. The LOC still stands that separates Kashmir between our country and the enemy country of Pakistan. At the time of partition, both countries burned in hatred. Lakhs of Hindus and Muslims defected to each other.
An agreement was made in 1972 known as the Simla agreement. This agreement states that the two countries will not contest the border by starting any military operations. After this agreement took place, both countries agreed and began to protect their borders vigorously.

Till now we are protecting our border and our brave soldiers are standing at LOC day and night to protect our land. In the winter, both armies left their posts and returned again to protect the border in the spring, but this scenario was changed because Pakistan was a country that India could not trust.
The proof is that in the winter of 1998-1999 Pakistan attacked the LOC and crossed it and stepped into the part that was under Indian Territory. They gradually entered and also captured our post and held their position in Kargil. At the same time as the winter invasion, the Lahore declaration was signed between the two countries which was really based on peace.
It seems that nothing can stop Pakistan and when they do not respect anything Kargil war takes place between India and Pakistan. All this resulted in brutal fighting between countries. It is a challenge for our Indian army because this fight will be held in a very difficult mountainous area.
There is no shelter for Indian soldiers but we know our soldiers very well. There is no challenge that stops them to get back their land and fight the Pakistani army. Many soldiers died in the Kargil war and the Indian army managed to drag the Pakistani army out of the line of control.

Pakistan had a strategic advantage at the time of the Kargil war because they were safe in the mountains. Our brave hero managed to recover many Indian soldiers.
