Kate Middleton is set to make her royal comeback in June at Trooping the Colour, marking her first official duty since her stomach surgery in January.
The update comes amid buzz around the city after he was spotted being driven by his mother near Windsor in his first appearance since the operation.
Kate Middleton Set For First Official Duty In Three Months
The Ministry of Defense has announced that Kate will attend a military parade scheduled for Saturday, June 8, at the Horse Guards Parade in Westminster.

Noting that the Princess of Wales, who serves as Colonel of the Irish Guards, will lead an inspection during a dress rehearsal, preparing for the main event on June 15, the MoD wrote on its website:
“Trooping the Color reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales also includes 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards who will line the parade route along The Mall. The soldiers will be inspected by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, Colonel of the Irish Guards.”
Tickets for the pre-Trooping the Color viewing are now up for grabs for £5 to £15 on the website, creating excitement for the upcoming event traditionally reviewed by the monarch.
However, despite Kate’s expected first official post-surgery duties, Kensington Palace has yet to confirm her presence.
Regarding that, the Daily Mail reported that Palace officials were not involved with the Ministry of Defense update. Normally, announcements about the presence of Prince William or Kate come from the Palace, not the MoD.
It’s worth noting that only the Palace holds the authority to announce Kate’s presence at a royal event. Since confirmation is not expected until closer to the time, the expectations surrounding his potential participation have been heightened.
Just before the MoD’s allegations about her participation in official royal events, Kate looked solemn in her first public appearance as she sat in the passenger seat of an SUV driven by her mother, Carole Middleton.
Despite his serious demeanor in a pair of sunglasses, the 42-year-old looks in good health. Remember that in January, Kensington Palace revealed that Kate was hospitalized at the London Clinic and was on the way to recovery after stomach surgery. A statement issued at the time read:
“The surgery was a success, and he is expected to remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue his recovery. Based on current medical advice, he is unlikely to return to public duty until after Easter.”

After emphasizing Kate’s appreciation for “the interest this statement will generate,” the Palace note expressed her hope that “the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children; and her desire for her private medical information to remain private.”
It conclusively shared, “Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’s progress when there is important new information to share. The Princess of Wales would like to apologize to all concerned as she has had to postpone her upcoming engagement. He hopes to give back as much as possible, as soon as possible.”
Royal Sources Deny Rumors About Kate’s Health & Existence
Despite the Palace’s statement, various theories and memes speculating about Kate’s whereabouts during her recovery from stomach surgery emerged on social media. Accordingly, a representative for Kate immediately issued a press release claiming:
“Kensington Palace explained in January the timeline of the princess’s recovery and we will only provide important updates. That guidance is still there.”
The spokesperson also confirmed that Kate is doing well while taking the necessary time to ensure a full recovery.

Another insider previously spoke about Kate’s well-being, responding to concerns raised by a reporter from a Spanish news program who claimed she was in a coma due to health complications from surgery.
“There is absolutely no truth to the reports that Kate is in a coma. He is recovering at home,” the source said.
