The son of Katharine McPhee and David Foster wowed the internet with his amazing drumming skills. Both McPhee and Foster shared a video of Rennie playing the drums to Michael Jackson’s hit song “Rock With You.”

A recent video shared by McPhee on TikTok and Foster on Instagram is getting a lot of positive attention. The video shows their 2-year-old son Rennie playing the drums like a pro! It’s almost easy to forget he’s only 2 years old when you see him playing a drum set while proud Papa Foster looks on.

McPhee’s TikTok video has been viewed nearly 20 million times and has more than 23,000 comments in just one day!
“When you have David Foster and Katherine McPhee as parents, you know this is going to be a talented kid,” said one viewer.
Another viewer said something similar, “As soon as I saw David Foster I was like ‘Oh, that makes sense’ and then I saw Katherine McPhee broadcast and I was like ‘This is all coming together.'”
One viewer shared, “So sweet! I ate crayons until he was 5 years old. Bless them,” and McPhee replied, “How cute!!”

A few months ago, Foster shared a video on her Instagram page showing Rennie playing the drums with the caption, “Progress time for some lessons I think.”
A viewer asked about the tape on the cymbals, “12345 This kid is everything. Is that duct tape on the little cymbals?” McPhee jumped in to answer saying, “Yes, otherwise it’s too strong for us to even try to exist!”
So apparently Rennie’s big passion is playing the drums and at 2 years old and already so talented, we all need to remember his name!
One suggested to postpone the lesson first. “I don’t know about lessons yet. He has an interesting style for his own syncopation and rhythm. Let him continue to search and then do the teaching.”
Another said yes to the lesson, but not in the way most people think. “Yes, lesson! You mean he’s going to TEACH the lesson, right? Sign me up to take lessons! Lol! He’s great!”
