Katharine McPhee’s family has been dealt a huge blow.
The 39-year-old singer, who has been busy performing with her 16-time Grammy-winning musician husband David Foster, recently took to social media to update her followers in a statement where she revealed the news of the family’s “horrific” tragedy.
To that end, he announced his unavailability for the final two dates of his tour due to the urgent need to “get home to the family.” Although McPhee did not say what exactly the tragedy was, his fellow superstars immediately supported him with their prayers and wishes.

Just two days before McPhee and Foster rock the world of their Asian fans for the last time during their ongoing tour, the former has revealed his absence. In a statement shared via her Instagram page, the “Country Comfort” actress began:
“Dear Jakarta fans, it is with a heavy heart that I announce I have to miss our last 2 shows of our Asian run. David and I have suffered a terrible tragedy in our family, and at least one of us needs to go home to our family.”
He pleaded with them to “know how sorry” he was and how much he would like to “come back one day and perform for you all,” before signing off with, “Love, Katharine.” As his frustration and pain was palpable through his words, it didn’t take long before his colleagues ganged up on him in the comments section.

Singer Nicole Scherzinger wrote, “Sending my love and prayers to your family,” while former actress Linda Thompson shared, “Sending you and David love, & hope all is well.”
Television personality Amanda Kloots said, “Sending you lots of love. I’m thinking of you all,” while one fan commented, “I hope your family gets well soon … family first.”
“Thinking of you guys,” a second fan stated, as a third exclaimed, “I’m sorry! Family comes first! all the best to you!” A fourth netizen claimed, “I pray everything is fine dear Kat and David.”
The tense atmosphere is in direct contrast to the ambient atmosphere that follows as McPhee celebrates a milestone in his and Foster’s life. According to The Blast, the “Scorpion” star took to Instagram to reveal that she and the Canadian composer have recorded a Christmas album in time for the festive season.
Under a stunning image of them posing next to a Christmas tree and presents, the mother-of-one wrote, “So excited to be filming with my best friend again – the first time was when I just left American idol 17 years ago – and what good thing is that he has to do all the work.? I only listen to the people I think are the best, and the rest is easy.”

His playful anger seems to flow with Rennie happily showing off his drumming talents without regard for his parents or his surroundings. She also posted a picture of her baby boy sitting on her lap for support as she explored the complete drum set in her father’s studio.
