Katharine McPhee and David Foster have decided to collaborate and bless their fans with melodious voices after 17 years of not releasing music together.
An excited McPhee took to her Instagram account to share the great news. The singer revealed that he and Foster have dropped their first single titled “Jingle Bell Rock.”
This is Foster’s first Christmas album as a singer, the talented musician has produced some of the greatest holiday songs with famous artists such as Celine Dion, Mary J Blige and Michael Bublé.

As the festive season approaches, it looks like the “Scorpion” actress and her iconic husband, Foster, have been expecting it.

The “Country Comfort” star revealed via Instagram that she and Foster have recorded a Christmas Album dedicated to celebrating the festive season.
She shared a cute picture featuring herself and her handsome husband. In the picture, the couple are sitting in a room filled with Christmas presents and a Christmas tree sparkling with colorful lights.
They elegantly posed for the camera while sitting next to a grand piano. Looking ravishing, McPhee donned a tight black sleeveless dress adorned with glittering sequins. She had her golden blonde hair tied into a sleek bun and wore diamond earrings and bracelets.
“The Best Of Me” musician looked dapper in a plain white shirt and black coat which he paired with a matching black tie.
In the following slide, McPhee posts a news publication headline hinting at their newly recorded album. In the caption accompanying the post, she wrote, “So excited to be recording with my best friend again – the first time was when I just left American idol 17 years ago – and the good part is that she got to do all the work.🤣 I only listen to the people I think are the best, and the rest is easy.”
In a subsequent joint post, the pair teased a snippet of the music video for their version of the popular Christmas song, “Jingle Bell Rock.” The beautiful actress’ powerful voice can be heard in the background as she blasts the song’s lyrics while the record producer, Foster, masterfully plays the piano.

In the short clip, McPhee and Foster change into different outfits for their music video and look like they’re having the time of their lives filming the video.
Describing the clip, he wrote, “Our version of ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ is now available on all streaming platforms. Start your holiday season with us.”
McPhee Reveals How She Influenced Her Husband To Create Their New Album
The “American Idol” alum sure knows what buttons to push to get Foster to do what he wants. Per People magazine, the “In My Dreams” actress, during an exclusive interview, revealed how she forced the “Wild Flower” singer to make their Christmas album.
She said, “I feel guilty to David. I said something like, ‘It’s crazy that I’m married to the greatest producer, basically for the rest of our lives, and I’m just asking you to record me on some songs. ‘ Then he said, ‘Well, why don’t we just do a Christmas album?
McPhee further explained in the interview that they thought they would only release a few songs on Spotify. However, it turned into a seven-song EP creation and then skyrocketed into a whole show and Christmas promotion show.
Her doting husband, who was also present for the interview, chimed in and revealed that he enjoys working with his wife. He said, “It was a lot of fun. There were some songs we talked about that we didn’t know if he could handle or not, but he handled them like a pro.”
A Couple’s Child May Have His Parents’ Music Genes
McPhee and Foster, who happens to be a musical genius are the proud parents of one-year-old son Rennie. Per The Blast, last month, the famous couple, during an interview, raved about their little one’s musical prowess.
The “Winter Games” singer, when asked if Rennie would have a career in music, took a subtle approach to the subject, saying, “You know, when you look at someone like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, their kids are so talented… but they’re not tennis players, so we don’t know. He’s so young.”
McPhee, however, was more confident in his stance when he said, “It makes sense that he would be musical. He must be obsessed with drums! Or imaginary drums, for that matter”. He, however, explained that they are not sure about the path their son will follow.
