He spoke with SiriusXM host Bevy Smith during an interview on Thursday, where he described the work environment on the show as having a level of “insanity,” at least during that period.

Heigl claimed the environment was not conducive to her health, and as a result, she left in a panic. “Like, if I can find a way to work in it, that can work for me, too. But I just see it as one thing: I’m here at a level of intensity that’s not healthy for me. And I just run away in a panic, ” he explained Insider.

Heigl admitted that while she felt she made the right decision at the time, she wished she had given herself more time to think things through. He said, “I look back, and sometimes I say, ‘God, I wish I’d calmed down a little bit. Sigh, think about it, discuss this possibility. What about this possibility? What if I did, you know, only this many episodes a season?”
