Controversial comedian Kathy Griffin has taken legal action to end her marriage to her husband, Randy Bick.
According to a legal document obtained by ExplosionGriffin claimed that she and Bick separated before Christmas and also asked the court to terminate spousal support.

Griffin has filed for divorce from her husband, Bick, whom she married on January 1, 2020.
In his legal filing, the comedian asked the court to end spousal support and also enforce their prenup.
Bick and Griffin have no children together, so there will be no custody battle. According to court documents, Griffin claims she and her husband were separated before Christmas.
The couple, who have been quite private about their romance, don’t seem to have had any problems, which means the divorce may come as a surprise to the couple’s fans.

Griffin announced she was marrying Bick on New Year’s Day, 2020, with a message on social media that read, “Happy New Year — and, surprise! We are going to get married.”
He then followed up with another post: “The whole ceremony was just under 14 minutes, but I have to give you the first 75 seconds uncut. LOVE IT! We promise you’re not typical. We’re in love, and we can’t stop laughing. Thank you , @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner! #HappyNewYear.”
Tomlin, who officiated the ceremony, can be heard in a clip shared by Griffin, “What should have been a shallow, ‘toot it and boot it’ one-night stand has grown and grown into something much more meaningful… They stayed together -same. Then they cannot be apart from each other.”
Bick has yet to respond to the divorce filing.

While it’s unclear what could have caused Griffin and Bick to split, news of her divorce from Bick came after the actress surprised her loved ones with a lip tattoo. The “My Life On The D-List” star revealed the strange move in August.
She said at the time, “OK, so first of all, I’m trying to stay under the radar… Second, I’m going to get my brows more micro-bladed because I didn’t do enough last time, and I got my lips tattooed, but they call it blushing . We’ll see.”
Shortly after undergoing the procedure, Griffin revealed her “swollen” lips to her now-estranged husband, Bick, and her friend, Kristin Johnston, who were completely shocked by her appearance.

While chatting with People magazine in June, Griffin spoke about his health struggles and how he felt after performing in his first solo show in six years.
“They use a hook to open your mouth,” the comedian said before explaining that anesthesia was required during the operation “because there was a weird needle in my throat!”

“Then they put a needle on the camera, and they put it down your throat,” Griffin added. “And then they inject your tiny little vocal cords with this stuff.”
He then revealed his joy from the “cancellation” as he prepared for his solo performance.
“I’m coming out of my cancellation. And cancer didn’t kill me. I can still perform. I love to write,” Griffin said. “I don’t know what will work. I don’t know what isn’t. But it’s a very different place than I was six months ago.”
