Katie Maloney believes her ex, Tom Schwartz, chose his bar over her. The reality star revealed during a confessional for Bravo’s reality series “Vanderpump Rules” that bars played a big role in ending her marriage to the entrepreneur.
She also discussed with Schwartz during the opening ceremony how he made her feel like he wasn’t a priority in her life.
Schwartz, at the end, shared in a confession that he wasn’t sure if giving his all to the bar was ultimately worth it. He also revealed he has no plans to get married in a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”

‘This Bar Has A Very Complicated History’

In a confessional for the reality series, Maloney bares it all to the cameras as she discusses how her ex’s bar was the wedge that came between their marriage.
“I’m trying to be excited for Tom, but this bar has a very complicated history,” she told the camera, per Page Sixreferring to the launch of his bar by Schwartz, Schwartz & Sandy’s, which he owns with his business partner Tom Sandoval.
The reality star further explained that the bar put a “huge strain” on their relationship because Schwartz was so much more focused on opening up.
“All the marriage issues and arguments and everything that we’re dealing with now has just been personified,” he added. “This bar is another woman in our marriage, and I stand in her now.”
The couple were together from 2019 to 2022, finalizing their divorce in October. They remain good friends and share the care of their pet dog.

Maloney makes an appearance at the bar’s opening night and talks to Schwartz about their breakup. Without saying a word, the “White Noise” actor told his ex that the bar was a blow to them both.
“It almost broke you, and it almost broke me,” he told Schwartz, adding, “it kind of broke us, so was it worth it?”
Following Maloney’s emotional question, the “Vanderpump Rules” star struggled to find the right words to offer a convincing answer before telling her she didn’t pick the business out of him.
Maloney then hit back, saying that her claims were false because she always felt he was not a priority in her life, even when it came to other things.
“Well, I guess you’re picking on me a lot,” he continued. “You have never picked me on any side, in any argument, even when I turned my back on you in something. That makes me think you don’t like me.”
Touched by his comments, Schwartz issued an apology and said that he was “trying to move forward and not beat myself up too much.”

Later in her confession, Schwartz will emotionally reflect on some of her actions while she was still married to Maloney.
“Maybe I wish I had really fought for him, but I thought I would be prolonging the pain and making him suffer and diminishing his happiness,” she said.
She later revealed that she still wasn’t sure if giving everything for her business at the expense of her relationship with Maloney was worth it.
“I’m so in love with this whole bar, this lounge, the concept, but sometimes I ask myself, ‘Is it worth it?’ and I don’t know.”
Tom Schwartz Has No Plans To Remarry

As for whether he would consider legally committing to someone else in the future, Schwartz said on “Watch What Happens Live” that he has no plans to do so.
“I think I’m out of the game forever. I don’t think I’ll ever get married again,” the bar owner said on the show, per heavy.
However, she declared herself open to dating again and even hinted that Bravo star Taylor Ann Green recently caught her eye, even though she felt he wasn’t the right guy for her.
He added, “I really like Taylor. Like every time I see it, my face lights up. But yeah, I guess I’m a bit dateless, Andy. I’m not demeaning myself.”
