“I work a lot, and I’ve always worked a lot,” the singer said on the “Smartless” podcast this week. She does have a nanny but she’s not full time because Perry wants to be as hands-on as possible. If the babysitter is waiting, you can’t stay out too late or commit to too many projects.
“I have a great nanny, but I don’t have a full-time nanny because I feel like if I had a full-time nanny then I wouldn’t be able to know how to take care of my daughter the way I should. .”
Katy Perry Doesn’t Want to Miss a Moment

The “Dark Horse” singer shared that when she’s not working, she’s in full “mom mode” in which she says it doesn’t depend on how tired she is or how busy she is. “It doesn’t matter if I have a show that goes to 11 the night before, I wake up at 6 and we’ll go and have breakfast.”
The result is a physical illness, “yeah, I can’t sleep, but I’m doing mom mode today,” she joked. Dad, Orlando Bloom also shares Perry’s beauty but he has a little more practice juggling babies and a career. “Dad is the best,” she said of her man.
Bloom has a child from a previous relationship with Miranda Kerr and while the couple divorced, Perry has said in the past that seeing them co-parent was amazing.
Katy Perry’s Daughter Daisy Is Learning Words

Daisy is 2 years old and the little one is running around and learning words. Perry stated that this is more motivation for him to always make the time to be there. The “Bunga Bunga” singer felt very “difficult” when Daisy used a language she didn’t help her learn.
“The other day he said some words that I didn’t teach him, and I was like ‘Damn. It doesn’t feel good,’” Perry said. “He’s 2 years old, so he’s at the point where he’s saying new words every day.”
Perry loves the moments she gets with her daughter and why would she deprive herself of more of those moments to work?
Katy Perry’s Morning Is Important

“I try to start my day with my daughter, play and spend time with her. Reading some books,” he shared. “It usually varies what time we wake up, 7 or 8 in the morning,” he shared with the Wall Street Journal.
“Sometimes I can sleep in and Daddy takes her until 9, which is great. But we have breakfast together.”
She admits that watching Bloom parent Flynn, 11 reinforces that babies are in her future and hopefully with her. “That definitely affected me. Something inside me said, ‘You, mid-30s, this guy is good. Must breed.'”
