Keke Palmer’s Restraining Order Against Her Ex Is Extended By Several Months

In the midst of her successful run since 2022, Palmer faced the biggest challenge of her life when news of her allegedly abusive ex — and baby daddy — surfaced online. At the time, she accused her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, of physically assaulting her, detailing the incident in a legal filing.

The singer claims in the document that the fitness instructor broke into her home, threatened, and physically assaulted her. Some of the attacks included snapping her neck, hitting her, and throwing her on the couch.

She also claimed that he endangered the safety of their eight-month-old son during the September argument, expressing concern for the child’s well-being.

“Darius was angry and almost had a tug of war with Leo. Darius eventually let go and Leo was unharmed, but as I was holding Leo trying to calm him down and finish changing his diaper, Darius hit me in the head before storming out of the room,” the “Hustlers” star revealed.

Following the allegations, Palmer quickly obtained a Temporary Restraining Order against his ex-partner and temporary sole custody of their son. On December 1, the estranged couple agreed to adjourn court proceedings on the domestic violence charges and attempt mediation.

However, Jackson later reversed his stance, claiming that Palmer was the one who engaged in abusive behavior. Her allegations, unfortunately, did not prevent the court from extending the restraining order her ex had against her for six months.

The extension was part of Palmer and Jackson’s agreement to reschedule a hearing on the domestic violence allegations. Instead of a date set for January 9, they aim to go to trial later this year, according to court documents obtained by The Blast earlier this month.
