The morning talk show host has faced backlash since he spoke out about the NFL’s coverage of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, but he blamed the news outlet for the “clickbait” headline.

Many news outlets, including The Blast, reported Clarkson’s comments, however, some headlines may have “twisted” the singer’s words as she faced backlash, accusing her of “insulting Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance.”
Now, the “Breakaway” singer is telling the truth.
“Just a quick public service announcement for everyone because this seems like breaking news…” he began. “Don’t be a victim of clickbait, rubbish journalists twisting the facts again. I’m not insulting anyone’s romance. I’m pro romance. Yay romantic.”

For the record, The Blast’s headline on the coverage read “Kelly Clarkson Slams NFL For Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Coverage”, which is actually true and not twisting the words at all. Apparently some outlets accused Clarkson of hitting on Swift and Kelce, but he didn’t.
Clarkson concluded with, “Okay, keep going, and GO COWBOYS!”

The “Since U Been Gone” singer compared recent NFL coverage to Bravo. “It’s not funny how it’s really taken over the NFL for people who like to watch sports right now,” Clarkson said during his morning talk show earlier this week.
“It’s like you’re watching ‘Housewives’ when you’re watching,” he joked, before slamming NFL commentators for “only talking about gossipy stuff” during a recent game.
“And you’re like, ‘So, what about the drama?'” she said, adding that the couple “took over.”

The NFL recently defended its coverage of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce amid the backlash they received.
During “Sunday Night Football” a few weeks ago, NBC showed the “Bad Blood” singer several times, apparently dismissing the fact that other famous stars were in the same suite as him, including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Hugh Jackman. The channel also promoted Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” twice, and showed commercials featuring Travis Kelce nearly five different times.
“We regularly change our bios and profile images based on what’s happening in and around our game, as well as the culture,” the NFL said in a statement to People. “The news of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has been a pop culture moment that we’ve backed up in real time, because it’s the intersection of sports and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
The league then compared it to their “Toy Story” themed coverage on Sunday mornings. “The majority of our content remains focused on the game, our players and various other initiatives, including the Toy Story Funday Football alt-cast, international games and more,” they said at the time.
