Kelly Ripa recently slammed her husband, Mark Consuelos, for his tone-deaf comments while she was in labor. Ripa’s post received comments from fellow mothers who shared similar experiences with their partners during childbirth.
The TV personality has been very candid about her relationship with her husband, as she once revealed to Andy Cohen all the crazy places they’ve had sex, including her home.

The “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host then commented on some of the things Consuelos said while she was in labor. She said the “All My Children” star asked, “Do you mind if I eat?” And also stated, “I’m going to the batting cage because you’re going to be here for a while.” However, Ripa did not clarify which of their three children she gave birth to when Consuelos made the comment.

Ripa’s comment was one of thousands of messages by fellow mothers who shared similar Labor experiences with their partners. A user commented (per Page Six), “Before I started pushing: ‘It’s okay if you poop, I pooped my pants when I was 23.'” The mom shared that her husband tried to instruct her on “how to push properly.”
Another comment read, “When I was wheeled into the operating room for a C-section… ‘so you’re just going to give up.’”
A third mother commented that while the doctor was inserting her epidural, her partner hugged her for support and then said, “Omg my back hurts from bending over like that.”

Despite his tone-deaf comments, Ripa and Consuelos have been going strong since they married in May 1996. The “Hope & Faith” star has previously spoken about their sex life, saying she never gets tired of making love with her husband because he makes sure “the woman comes first,” and he “pleased her repeatedly.”
During a recent interview with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live,” Ripa shared some wild locations where she and Consuelos had sex. Cohen said, “Based on your Instagram PDA alone, it’s hard to imagine a place where you and Mark didn’t do the deed.”
He then asked if Ripa and Consuelos had “stopped” at a bathroom or a public boat, to which the actress said “yes” and “yes.” She also confirmed that they were intimate on the set of “All My Children” and also at Cohen’s rental home on Fire Island.

The interview with Cohen is not the first time Ripa has spoken about her and Consuelos’ sex life. He revealed some of their experiences in his book, “Live Wire.” During a September 2021 interview, the couple joked about how Ripa likes to use their active sex life to resolve their disagreements.
During their marriage, Consuelo and Ripa had three children, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, who were not immune to their parents’ promiscuity. While co-hosting Ripa’s talk show in 2019, Consuelos revealed that Lola used to walk into their room while they were busy in bed.
She said, “He opened the door … and we were like ‘Ah, close the door, knock, what are you doing?'” Ripa later added, “He closed the door and you heard, ‘You just ruined my birthday and my life , and I used to see in color and now it’s all gray.’”
