Kelly Ripa’s Editor Surprised Her With First Edition Of Her Memoir

As Kelly Ripa awaited the day her first book was released to the public, the actress and talk show host got a surprise visit from her editor with a copy of the first edition just for her. “Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories” is out Sept. 27 wherever the book is sold, and then Ripa will go on a mini-book tour to promote her story. Ripa posted the happy moment she got to hold her new book in her hands on her Instagram page with the caption, “When your editor surprises you with the first edition. Hot off the press!”

Ripa is Excited to Receive a First Edition Copy of the Long-awaited Book

Ripa’s excitement could not be contained as she hugged her editor saying, “This is the real thing,” and the editor replied, “That’s a real book, yeah, it’s not fake.” The two then agreed that they felt like they had known each other for years, to which Ripa said, “You’ve known me for 52 years now.” Ripa also said she took the book to her parents and introduced the editor to everyone watching as Carrie Thornton.

Ripa First Announced Book On ‘Live With Kelly And Ryan’ Last Year

According to the description, the book “will feature a collection of personal essays about her childhood, motherhood, marriage, career and the intersection of all of the above – putting her thoughtfulness, assertiveness and deep understanding of gender and power dynamics on full display.” Ripa, who shares three children with husband Mark Consuelos, Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19, shared her personal story and wrote on the book’s website, “taking no prisoners” in the process.

When Ripa announced that she was writing a book about “Live With Kelly And Ryan” in 2021, she told co-host Ryan Seacrest, “For the past year of my life, I’ve been writing a book. And for some reason I thought I could do this ,” he said. “Don’t know why, I didn’t have the power to do it, there was never any evidence that I had this ability, but I decided to do it.”

The new author first posted a photo of the book’s cover on her Instagram page, she wrote, “My husband said writing the book was like giving birth. He never did. Even though it’s like giving birth, if it lasts 18 months. . However, the work full of love.”
