Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget’s widow, is keeping her husband’s memory alive on the one-year anniversary of his passing.

Rizzo has been pretty transparent about sharing her grief with her Instagram followers over the past year, and she’s not slowing down anytime soon.

The “Eat Travel Rock” blogger took to the social network to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her husband’s death.

In her post, Rizzo penned a touching tribute to her beloved husband, describing her feelings as she continues to navigate his sudden passing.

Saget was found unresponsive in a Flordia hotel room on January 9, 2022, after performing. The “Full House” actor’s cause of death was later revealed to be a head injury in which he suffered “blunt force trauma.”

Saget’s “Full House” co-star Candace Cameron Bure once revealed that she often leaned on Rizzo as she navigated her grief. “It’s been talking to my friends, talking to Kelly, talking to my ‘Full House’ family,” she told People.

Rizzo certainly shares Cameron Bure’s love of openly discussing Saget on social media; he recently revealed how he feels openly discussing his grief on social media has helped his fans and followers.

In an interview with NBC News, Rizzo said she believes her honest post of grief has “some kind of effect on people who have gone through something similar” to her loss.

She also added that her candid posts gave her “this new sense of purpose and life” (per The Blast).

Rizzo celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary and his first Christmas without Saget.

“Happy 4th anniversary my love,” he would write in his Instagram tribute, “our wedding was the most special day for us and our loved ones, and I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life.” (via The Blast)

Rizzo touched on the universal sadness that can be felt during the holidays in his Christmas tribute, which aired on December 24.

“The holidays are a time for hope, love, and togetherness,” Rizzo wrote, “I pray that if you miss a loved one this holiday season, you will be blessed with many memories and deep, loving gratitude that will help. bring you through,” he continued in his holiday tribute.

“He’s told me over and over how much he loves your family and can’t wait to spend Christmas,” Saget’s “Full House” co-star and longtime friend John Stamos commented on the post. “Love you,” he continued.

Rizzo Writes About Feeling ‘Fortunate’ To Have Moments Of Life With Saget

In a set of animated photos posted on Instagram earlier Monday, Rizzo expressed his feelings inspired by spending life with Saget.

“One year. Our hearts are so heavy,” she began her tribute, “How come I haven’t spoken to or seen my beloved husband all year? Real existence never recedes. I’ve long accepted reality but it still seems unreal when I look at photos or his videos are so full of life. But there’s one thing that I carry with me every day that makes this bearable,” added Rizzo, “I’M THE LUCKIEST. I’m the luckiest to be his wife. I’m the luckiest because I being able to live her warmth, laughter, brilliance, and love. I’m most blessed to have her girls by my side. I’m most blessed to see her help people, make them happy, and make the world a better place,” she continued.

“Some people can live 1,000 lifetimes and never live as fully as he did,” Rizzo added, “And for that I have to say, ‘Well done.’ You truly won life, my love. And that’s why I will be forever grateful for him and the endless love he gave me, until my last day.

Rizzo added Ben Folds’ “The Luckiest” to accompany his broadcast, revealing it was one of Saget’s “favorite songs.”

“Also on a funny note,” she would add in a comment, “I have to add, Bob won’t be thrilled with all the Kissy pictures I post, but damn, I love them!”

Many of Rizzo’s followers shared their love for him and Saget in the comments section of his post.
