One of country music’s youngest couples, Kelsea Ballerini & Morgan Evans, is calling it quits!
The former lovebirds first met as co-hosts of the Australian Country Music Channel Awards in 2016 and married a year later. Fans of the duo are no strangers to the PDA-filled and sweet words the singers post to each other on social media. So it must have been a surprise when the “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer announced their separation.

The “Miss Me More” singer took to her Instagram story to share the news of her divorce from Evans, which she described as “a very difficult decision.” The country music star made a plea to his fans in the concluding part of his message, which read:
“With a very active schedule ahead, please note that we are both fragile, actively recovering and showing the best we can.”
When the former couple were first introduced at an awards show on March 12, 2016, it was a match made in heaven as sparks began to fly that night at the after party. The star couple reportedly shared a photo and had their first kiss at the same event.

By November of the same year, the two made their official red carpet debut at the Country Music Association Awards in coordinating outfits, looking very much in love. The following month they announced their engagement and then married a year later, on December 2, 2017.
