Bad Bunny Makes History At Coachella

Bad Bunny made history by becoming the first Spanish-speaking artist to headline Coachella. The “YHLQMDLG” singer first performed at the festival in 2019, but at the time, he was only appearing as an artist and didn’t get the amount of fame he has now.

Before he started performing, he mainly paused to ask the crowd what language they preferred him to speak, English or Spanish, to which the festival audience unanimously chose Spanish.

“Latins have been rompiéndola (killing it) for some time now,” he said. “I just did a tour last year that I never imagined I would be able to do. I’ve been out for a while, but I’m back, and it feels like cabrón is here tonight and you’re all here with me.”

The rapper also took the time to share a heartfelt message with fans, seemingly encouraging them to get to know him better rather than believing everything they read online.

“In humility, people think they know the lives of famous people, but they don’t,” he said. “They don’t know what we feel, what we go through. They will never know what the heart can feel.”

He continued, “Don’t believe everything you hear. You won’t get to know the real me through videos on Instagram, interviews or TikTok. If you want to get to know me, I invite you to my house.”
