Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has put his name on California’s sex offender list after moving into a new $20 million mansion.

The rapper and her husband recently moved to Calabasas, California, and one of the first things on her to-do list was to update her sex offender profile. According to the California Megan’s Law website, Petty is there and updated!
The 45-year-old listed the home as his permanent residence with the rapper. It has 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and is 11,820 square feet. For months, the offender has been listing his and Nicki’s old address, and it feels like he’s breaking the law by not updating the new information.
In addition to the address update, she posed for a new photo attached to her profile. Petty was ordered to register as a sex offender from a case in the 90s.

Kenneth Petty Charged with First Degree Rape

The Pink Print rapper accused of first degree rape of a woman named Jennifer Hough. He made a plea deal, reducing the charge to attempted rape. He ended up serving four years in prison.
Hough accused the rapper and Petty of harassing him and sued them in 2021 for trying to get him to retract his statements. He also said at one point, Minaj and Petty’s team offered him $500k.
When he refused, “alleged assaults involving harassing calls and unsolicited visits” began to roll out. Then in early 2023, Hough’s claims against Minaj and her team were dismissed.
As for a settlement, sources say one was never reached, and no money ever changed hands.

The rapper’s attorney slammed Hough for his choice to pursue legal action. “In my view, your conduct in pursuing this case against Nicki represents our legal system at its worst: unintelligent lawyers taking a frivolous action against a celebrity, assuming they’ll get paid if they throw up enough dirt.”
The barbarism continued. “You forced my client to spend more than $300,000 in fees to defend a case that even my labradoodle, Gracie, could see was frivolous on fact and law.”

Another personal note on the California Megan’s Law Website is Petty’s famous alias. At one point or another, he used the name Avery Johnson. And the language used on the website is alarming.
They refer to Petty’s charges as “ATTEMPTED RAPE BY FORCE OR FEAR.” They also depicted his tattoos as if he was a dangerous criminal or someone on the run. “Kata neck” could be the “ONIKA” tattoo he got.
There is a “risk assessment” column, but nothing is currently listed. And finally, unfortunately for Minaj, her address was recorded. This can be a problem for a person of status and level of fame.
The couple has been arguing about this for a long time, and it seems they are beginning to comply just for peace of mind.
