Kenzie Hansen first became known in October 2022 when Xavier Prather posted an IG photo of them dressed up for Halloween. Although the two didn’t announce their relationship back then, many like to call it “IG official.”
Fast forward to May 2023, Xavier once again surprised his fans, as well as Kenzie, with a romantic proposal at the Spanish restaurant MDRD, located at the top of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It appears the Big Brother winner blindfolded Kenzie to a balcony overlooking the Grand Rapids skyline, which has been decorated with rose petals in the outline of hearts and letters spelling out “marry me” that sit next to the rails.
For this special moment, Xavier wore a plum suit with a white button down shirt and black shoes while Kenzie kept it classic in a black sleeveless dress. However, she accessorized her look with black heels and gold jewelry. And of course, she received her most important piece of jewelry after the proposal – an oval Rogers & Hollands engagement ring.
Xavier said that they visited a local family-owned business to pick out the ring before the proposal, but Hansen left the design entirely to him.
After the engagement, the future husband/wife is then celebrated with family and friends who are waiting nearby.
For those of you wondering, whether or not Xavier actually bent his knee (since he was injured with a torn Achilles, broken ankle, and broken wrist). Yes he did! “All that seriousness is a struggle, but it makes it work,” he said. The star also revealed that it took her five months to plan the entire proposal, as it was “a full day’s work” to set up all the decorations at the venue.

Who Are Kenzie Hansen’s Parents?
Kenzie Hansen was born to her parents, Dr. Rocky and Peggy A Hansen. He is very close to them. Unsurprisingly, Xavier asks their permission for a purpose. “My fiance has a good relationship with both his parents. I can’t ask one and not the other,” he shared. “I took them both to eat and asked for their blessing.”
His father, Dr. Rocky Hansen is a 1978 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. He has worked as an optometrist in Greenville for over 42 years. Thanks to her unparalleled work, she was awarded the 2016 Fred & Lena Meijer Compassionate Spirit Award by Spectrum Health Foundation United and Kelsey Hospital.
“Rocky is loving, compassionate, open-minded, patient and inspiring. He is a visionary who scrutinizes every project he undertakes and his respectful demeanor strengthens all he is involved with,” they said.
Regarding her mother, we don’t know much about Peggy except that she was born in July 1952.
Besides her parents, Kenzie is also close to her 10-year-old sister Keisha Marie Hansen.
Keisha studied Emergency Medical Technician at Creighton University and worked as a Flight Nurse at STAT MedEvac and a Registered Nurse/NREMT-P at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Currently, she lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband and their young child.
Kenzie Hansen Job
Kenzie Hansen is a pediatric orthopedic technician. In 2023, he has been working full-time at Corewell Health for over 5 years. However, she initially joined the clinic as an Adult Critical Care Nursing Assistant providing care to improve the daily life and overall health of patients in a 46-bed cardiovascular unit. Only in Dec 2022, he was promoted to pediatric orthopedic technician.
Previously, she worked as an Intellectual and Developmental Disability Caregiver at Royal Care Link LLC for 9 months. There, she provides care for individuals with special needs by guiding physical activities and monitoring the development of social skills.
Additionally, Kenzie has been an Ophthalmic Technician at Verdier Eye Center for almost 2 years. His duties there required him to prepare patients for doctors by gathering chief complaints, testing visual acuity, analyzing prescription refraction with a phoropter, measuring intraocular pressure, and conducting ophthalmic examinations.
As for his education, he obtained a Nerusosceince degree in Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University in July 2021 and December 2017 respectively.
