In addition to trying various creams to help her physical health, Kesha also focuses on taking care of her mental health. “I have a support system [of therapists] that I talk to weekly or monthly,” she explained, adding that she now loves food after “not allowing myself to eat or enjoy food for so long in my life.”

People might think I’m there for a shot, and [my routine is] the most zen shit you’ve ever seen.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the “Something to Believe In” singer recalled that she struggled to find her community when she was growing up in Tennessee.

“One of the biggest issues in my life was growing up knowing I wasn’t straight and going to church after church trying to find my community,” Kesha said. “I went, when I was about 14, to a gay bar in Nashville and immediately felt at home. And my biggest issue is not accepting and not loving queer people. That always got me stuck, because, ‘God is love, except for…‘ That doesn’t seem right to me.

“[I found] my own version of God in the last three years and that led to my writing ‘Eating Acid.’ A very important line in the song is, ‘I’m the one I fight all the time / Hate has no place in the divine,'” he added.
