Kevin Costner is officially free of the legal drama with his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, as the former couple have settled their differences with a written agreement.
Legal documents obtained by The Blast were filed in California Superior Court on February 14 — a day after the former couple signed a joint request to stop their joint parenting classes.

Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023, ending the couple’s decade-long union that saw the birth of three children. Now, she and the Hollywood veteran have dropped new court documents to waive the joint parenting class requirement thanks to their divorce settlement.
The two stated they had reached a private agreement regarding their divorce proceedings, with the content resolving the issues of dissolution of marriage and their custody rights. The document reads:
“IT IS ORDERED by and between the parties, Petitioner, Christine Costner, and Respondent, Kevin Costner, that the parties are exempted from, and the Court waives the requirement that they complete the ‘PEACE’ Effective Co-Parenting and Parenting Education class. “
“This decision is made based on the following: The Parties have completed their dissolution proceedings and entered into a signed written Marital Settlement Agreement to resolve this matter,” the statement continued, noting the “Agreement resolves custody issues between the Parties.”

The former couple explained that they made a joint request to avoid further delays and the frustration of waiting for it to end. Although they wanted to leave the joint parenting class, the couple agreed that the court would retain its power to force them to attend the education course if “custody issues arise in the future.”
The former request comes two months after Costner sparked romance rumors with singer-songwriter Jewel. She was spotted on a private island with the 49-year-old, providing plenty of sources to talk about as the pair allegedly couldn’t get enough of each other.
Speculation began when the “Yellowstone” star participated in a tennis tournament on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island. This event aims to raise funds to support the Inspirational Kids Foundation; however, it may have sparked a new relationship for Costner.
“There must be something going on. They’re flirty, and when they’re together, it’s like they’re both just on fire,” an insider said of the actor’s alleged relationship with Jewel.
Another claimed, “You can tell they’re trying to be careful, but anyone who sees them can tell something’s up.” This informant also claimed that the two went to the Caribbean together and spent more than a week in each other’s company.
During the fundraising game, Costner and Jewel teamed up to double with Sir Richard, apparently showing their close bond. Another source claimed the couple allegedly flew back together and stated the “You Were Meant For Me” singer “wanted a good guy, and Kevin fit the bill.”

Last month, Costner’s ex-wife made waves for allegedly dating her banker friend, a financier named Josh Connor. The new couple blossomed just four months after Baumgartner’s divorce from the father of her children.
The pair were seen driving around in Baumgartner’s Range Rover before he dropped Connor off at his home in Montecito, which is minutes away. Like his rumored girlfriend, the financier just got out of a dissolved union and became legally single in January 2023.
Reports claim that the lovers often visit each other’s homes and travel together. Last July, they were photographed enjoying time in Hawaii and reportedly boarded a private jet to visit tourist hotspots for Christmas.

Baumgartner’s relationship with Connor also came up during her divorce battle with Costner. While under oath, she denied being romantically involved with the financier following scrutiny over their July vacation and $20,000 loan.
Through tears, Baumgartner explained the loan was used to meet financial needs following the cessation of Costner’s monthly support of $5,000 to his parents. In addition, he emphasized his intention to repay the loan.
