So far, the veteran actor has seen money coming out of his bank account. According to the prenuptial agreement that Costner and Costner agreed to before tying the knot, Kevin has kept his promise.
He claims that he has paid $1 million since Christine filed in May. “I paid $1 million to Christine,” he said in a court filing. Court documents obtained by Radar Online also outline that as part of the pre-nuptial agreement, I paid Christine $100,000 upon marriage and $100,000 on our first wedding anniversary.”
Kevin says that $200,000 was promptly paid to Christine early in their marriage, and they were on the verge of a divorce.

Kevin Costner stated to the court that he has paid a large amount to Christine, and the divorce has not been finalized yet. Christine now has approximately $1,450,000 available to her, which she can use at her discretion, including to find alternative housing.”
The Yellowstone star also accused his estranged wife of stealing more money. “Since April 2023, Christine has withdrawn from my bank account and charged my credit card a total of $95,000, payable to her divorce attorney and forensic accountant,” he wrote.
Kevin’s statement continued. “This was done without any prior notice to me.” This disturbs famous actors; he was angry enough to tell the court about it. This money back and forth and other issues indicate that this divorce may be a struggle.
Christine Costner Filed For Divorce

It wasn’t Kevin who wanted out of the marriage; apparently; Christine filed for divorce from Kevin after 18 years of marriage. Twenty-one days earlier, she had broken up with Kevin. Kevin claims that not only has Christine not left the home they shared for the past several years, but she is also actively violating the prenup.
“Kevin is simply asking Christine to honor her commitment to him by moving out of her separate home.” Kevin’s attorney Laura Wasser has stated that the prenup is solid, so even if Christine waits for him, she may have to leave at the end of the divorce.
Kevin also reminded the court that he had given Christine enough money to leave the house.

When the mother of three filed her divorce papers, she stated that “the extent of the assets and liabilities of the separate property is unknown,” as if they had property to be divided equally. But Kevin replied that the prenup they mentioned was again “ironclad” and would determine how the property and home would be divided.
As for the three children they share, Kevin writes, “He continues to pay 100% of the children’s expenses. Kevin will establish the reactivity of any child support order when Christine vacates the property.”
