Christine Baumgartner has expressed her displeasure with the way their children are learning about her and Kevin Costner’s impending divorce.
A new report claims that the 49-year-old revealed that the Golden Globe-winning actor told their children – Cayden, Hayes, and Grace – about their divorce during a short video call in his absence. The former couple have been locked in a legal battle with each other since their separation was confirmed over a month ago.

According to court papers reviewed by PEOPLEthe 49-year-old claims that the actor, who recently left the Western series, “Yellowstone,” told their teen about the divorce via a ten-minute Zoom call while he was on set in Las Vegas.
The way the news was shared ended up frustrating and disappointing Christine, who hoped she and her ex-partner could share the information privately and together. She insisted in the filing that she had made her concerns about Cayden, Grace, and Hayes aware of the divorce from an outsider known to the filmmaker.

The designer, the second wife of the main star of “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”, even included several articles emphasizing the importance of presenting a united front when dealing with such matters with children.
His concerns were later brushed aside by Costner, who “insisted that he had the right to tell them we were getting divorced ‘first’ and to tell them privately ‘without me being present.'” Responding to the issue, Baumgartner wrote in the document:
“The welfare of the children is always my priority, and I am worried that they will find out about the divorce before Kevin and I can tell them. It is important for me to tell the children personally and together.”
Before this happened, The Blast reported that the “Field of Dreams” star filed a lawsuit alleging that his estranged wife used $95,000 of his money to hire a forensic accountant and attorney without his permission and “advance notice.” In addition to spending his money on purpose, Baumgartner also refuses to remove himself from the multimillion-dollar property they shared as a once happy household.
The German artist’s continuing to live in the Carpinteria, California home has left Costner homeless and is also a direct violation of their 2004 prenuptial agreement.
