We let Daphne & Bill into our home because we trusted them, but that trust was lost and we cut ties in March for many reasons we chose not to go here.”

As previously published, our family spoke with Ms. Barak and Mr. Gunasti several times, and this was done in a respectful manner with love & compassion for Britney and the Spears family,” Kevin continued. “His lies and attempts to exploit minors are click bait and another disgusting example of where, unfortunately, certain journalism has sunk today.”

On Sunday night, Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, released a copy of the legal letter he sent to the Daily Mail with Page Six. In the letter, he claimed that neither Britney nor her team had been contacted about a documentary the two were supposedly working on.

“I have learned separately that on several occasions, Ms. Barak attempted to contact Britney under false pretenses, again her young children, which was exploitative, harassing, and outrageous,” Rosengart continued. “Furthermore, Britney’s representatives were never contacted prior to the story’s publication, further demonstrating true malice and a reckless disregard for the truth.”
“Britney is certainly a public figure, but this behavior is out of line and completely unacceptable. It is bad even by today’s standards of ‘journalism’ and the unfair scrutiny he faces,” the letter concluded. “I will follow up separately, but for now, please confirm that the Daily Mail will immediately delete and retract the false story and defamation and conduct an internal investigation into this matter and the abuse of Britney and her children.”
