Khadijah Haqq McCray is getting more candid about leaving her ex-husband Bobby McCray of more than a decade.
The duo also share four children, including Bobby Louis McCray III, 19 — from Bobby’s previous relationship — Christian Louis McCray, 13; Celine Amelia McCray, 9; and Kapri Naomi McCray, 2.
News of their split comes two years after they welcomed the birth of their last child, and Khadijah couldn’t hide her sadness as she spoke of the “incredible transition” of moving on with her life without Bobby.

He began, “Now more than ever, I have relied on prayer. Family is very important to me; unfortunately, life has brought me to an extraordinary transition.”

She continued, “After 13 years of marriage, 16 years together and 4 amazing children, I have come to the very difficult conclusion that while Bobby & I have great love for one [another]it is better that we move forward separately.”
The “Sky High” actress explained that the decision was not taken lightly, adding that she mostly kept her relationship out of the public eye for “the good of our family.” Concluding the statement, Khadijah admitted that she publicized the split not for attention but to be honest as she and Bobby moved on with their lives. In his words:
“I’m sharing this not because I believe it’s newsworthy – But so that we can live our lives honestly and begin our parenting journey together. I am so grateful for my incredible support system!”
The Instagram post got over 16k likes within two hours, and fans unfortunately couldn’t voice their support for the star in the comments section as it was turned off. Two years before ending their marriage, PEOPLE confirmed the birth of their third child Kapri after Khadijah shared the news of her conception on Instagram.
She posted a photo at the time showing McCray holding the newborn’s little arm and captioning it, “We love you baby girl, you complete our family! When 5 becomes 6.” The comments section was filled with congratulations from enthusiastic supporters, including some public figures like Ashlee Simpson Ross, Tamar Braxton, and Christina Milian.

Ross said, “Congratulations on your beautiful family,” followed by Braxton, who gushed, “Praise God, I’m so grateful.” Likewise, Milian added, “Now that’s great. Congratulations!” Ahead of the former “Dash Dolls” star’s due date, she revealed her baby’s gender using an Instagram photo of herself holding her baby from a virtual baby shower.
He also hinted that the baby would be named “Baby Kapri.” Khadijah, who was wondering about her pregnancy, was also happy to share the milestone with her twin sister Malika Haqq who welcomed her son Ace Flores five months earlier with ex-boyfriend OT Genasis.

She also covered her nipples with a star emoji in light of people’s “sensitivity” before captioning the post, “This post is for losers trying to extort my money.” You can stop posting these weak ass pictures.”
The reality star didn’t stop there but declared her pride in “my breast job” before insisting she wouldn’t give “a dime” to the attacker.
