Kid Rock appears to be back on friendly terms with Bud Light four months after shooting his can. The singer’s anger was over the brand’s campaign with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Mulvaney’s campaign led to a boycott of Bud Light by certain people and a drop in sales.
Mulvaney recently criticized the beer company for abandoning him and allowing people to make transphobic and hateful comments. Since the controversy, Bill Busch, of the Anheuser-Busch company, has offered to buy back Bud Light and make it “great again.”

Kid Rock Drinks Bud Light Again

Kid Rock seems to be done fighting Bud Light about four months after his viral shootout video. The singer was photographed drinking from a can of Bud Light at a recent Colt Ford concert in Nashville. This is in stark contrast to his display of anger towards the brand earlier this year.
LOL. Last night Kid Rock was pictured drinking Bud Light at a concert after he led the effort to cancel the company.

In April, the “Bawitdaba” singer posted a video of using an AR-15 shotgun to destroy several packs of Bud Light cans. In the video, he says, “F**k Bud Light, and f**k Anheuser-Busch.” The Rock’s outrage was because the beer brand’s campaign was done with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Two days before Rock posted the video, Mulvaney shared a photo from the new campaign on his Instagram. In the post, he promoted Bud Light with a special can with his face on it. However, Dylan’s beer cans are for campaign purposes only and not for sale.
Dylan Mulvaney’s Campaign Hits Bud Light
MEGA
Mulvaney’s campaign with Bud Light caused controversy on social media, with many people angry about the company working with trans influences. Calls to boycott beer brands began, ultimately affecting sales for brands that had dominated the domestic beer market for years.
Rock was one of the leading voices speaking out against Bud Light and its Mulvaney campaign. Despite his anger, the singer didn’t stop serving beer at his Honky Tonk Rock & Roll Steakhouse restaurant in Nashville.
Some country music stars like Travis Tritt joined Rock to boycott the beer brand and promised to avoid it. Some, like Garth Brooks, refused to stop serving beer at his bar and encouraged fans to visit his place with an “open mind.”
Dylan Mulvaney Criticizes Bud Light For Leaving It Out
Mulvaney recently responded to the controversy with a video he posted on Instagram. The influencer called out Bud Light for abandoning it after the campaign became controversial. He said the brand gave “its customers permission to be as transphobic and hateful as they want.”
Mulvaney became emotional in the video and said he had been “publicly ridiculed” since the controversy began and was afraid to leave the house. The social media star said she also “felt a loneliness that I would never wish on anyone.” He added, “For a company to hire trans people and then not publicly support them is worse than not hiring trans people at all.”
Mulvaney’s video release comes after Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, declined to comment on any possible future campaigns with Mulvaney. A spokesperson previously said the partnership aims to “authentically connect with audiences across multiple demographics and passion points.”
There Is An Offer To Buy The Company
Since the boycott of Bud Light intensified, there have been offers to buy the beer company. Billy Busch, heir to the Anheuser-Busch company, has expressed interest in buying the business from its parent brand, Anheuser-Busch InBev.
During a recent appearance on Tomi Lahren’s “Fearless” podcast, Busch criticized the parent company for its “woke marketing” decision. He claims this choice led to working with Mulvaney and eventually boycotting the beer brand.
He said, “When you’re a foreign company and you’re relying on these woke students coming out of these woke colleges to do your advertising for you, you’re making a big mistake.” According to their June 17 weekly sales analysis by Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ, the brand fell by 28.5%, the biggest in a year.
