The ex-boyfriend of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s killer — who fatally plunged a knife into her mother — referred to himself as “Mr. Smiley” and declined to name his famous former friend in a strange email to The Post on Wednesday — days after his new documentary aired.
“I want people to know that I’m not lost in all the things that are going on with who shall not be named, I’m just waiting for my real time to talk :-)” wrote Nicholas Godejohn, 34, of the Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri.
Godejohn has been mum since Blanchard was released from prison last month for convincing her to kill her mother following years of medical abuse at his hands.

The couple’s sensational crimes were detailed in the HBO documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest” and the Hulu scripted series “The Act.”
Before the murder, Blanchard’s mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, forced him to pretend to suffer from leukemia, muscular dystrophy and various other ailments.
Blanchard met Godejohn in 2012 on a Christian dating site and hid in the bathroom while he killed his mother, prosecutors said.

During Godejohn’s trial, Blanchard testified she persuaded him to knife his brutal mother.
Since her release, Blanchard has appeared in a series of high-profile interviews and appeared together on the red carpet with her husband Ryan Anderson, whom she met while in prison.
In a comment on Anderson’s Instagram, he talked about their sex life.
“Plus they’re jealous because you rock my world every night,” she said of the “haters” who posted rude comments on her social media.
“Yes I say, D is fire… happy wife lives happily.”

Asked by The Post what Godejohn thought about his newfound fame, leaving the household and life behind bars, he said: “I have to be careful about my decisions.”
“Many of these questions will be answered in an interview which can be expected in due course, which is not now :-).”
In the email, Godejohn appears polite and childlike, using a smiley face six times during the 109-word correspondence.
“Stay positive, healthy and safe, Mr. Vago :-),” he said, referring to a Post reporter at the end of the exchange.
“Yours truly, Nicholas (Mr. Smiley) Godejohn.”
Meanwhile, Blanchard’s new Lifetime documentary “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” aired Sunday, in which she accused Godejohn of raping her after he killed her mother.
“Because I did not allow him to rape my mother, I had to agree to allow him to rape me,” he claimed.
“After Nick killed my mother, he told me to go into my bedroom and take down all the stuffed animals that were on my bed. I knew he was going to have sex with me,” he claimed.
Godejohn remains in prison on a life sentence for first-degree murder and is not allowed to have any contact with Blanchard.
Last week, his lawyer filed an appeal for a new trial, local outlet KY3 reported.
“In his last trial, he argued that his mental state did not qualify for first-degree murder,” his public defender Tyler Coyle told the station.
“The jury should have only found him guilty of second-degree murder.”
