Kim Cattrall Summons Sweet Memories With Late Mother In Touching Tribute

Kim Cattrall is saying goodbye to a beloved family member.

Over the years, fans have grown accustomed to seeing the actress share occasional glimpses of her mother, Shane Cattrall, showering her with praise. Sadly, that won’t be the case again as the “Tribute” star has announced the death of her parents to her millions of fans. He did not mention the cause or date of death.

Although he lived to be 93 and enjoyed a seemingly good life thanks to Kim’s success and support, Shane’s death will be felt by those who knew and loved him. In fact, when his famous daughter announced her passing to her 1.1 million fans, her sadness echoed through the post.

The “Sex and The City” alum uploaded several photos of her and Shane smiling for the camera at various life-changing events, including graduation. In the collage, placed on the third slide, the mother and daughter pair are seen sharing a warm embrace, talking about something in the background, and laughing without a care in the world.

A swipe left shows a younger Shane laughing out loud before posing with Kim — as a child — in front of a tree in the black-and-white photo. Another image shows the Golden Globe winner for Best Supporting Actress in 2002 in the middle of an air kiss.

The actress’ eyes were closed while leaning on her late mother who was wearing a pair of designer sunglasses. The final slot in the tribute captures a white flower — most likely a gardenia — planted alongside a cardboard sign bearing her mother’s name and the years 1929 – 2022.

The “Shane Cattrall 1929 – 2022. Rest in peace Mum [red heart emoji]” captioned the post prompting Kim’s friends and fans to share their condolences with her. Comedian Alan Carr wrote:

“Sorry honey. Sending you lots of love [red heart emoji],” while “Queer as Folk” reboot frontman Stephen Dunn added, “sending all my love [red heart and star emojis].”

Soho House Global Artistic Director, Kate Bryan, commented, “I am so sorry for your loss Kim. We all owe it to your mother [a] great time to gift us you! Sending you love and light.”

“I’m so sorry for your loss,” one fan began before adding, “I love your mom and her siblings in Who Do You Think You Are. I hope his passing is peaceful. My thoughts are with you all.” Another fan supported, “I’m so sorry for losing you kim! You are on my mind! May he rest in peace. All my love to you at this time.”

As previously mentioned, Kim consistently highlights her love for her mother on social media. In March, the cast of “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country” posted selfie of his late mother’s 93rd birthday on Twitter.

‘Baby Geniuses’ Star Has Suspected Problems With Sarah Jessica Parker

Avid viewers of the “Sex and the City” reboot know about the never-ending beef between Kim and her co-star Sarah Jessica Parker. The Blast shared that the two screen goddesses have spent years going back and forth with each other during conversations with the press.

In some instances, Parker would try to dispute Kim’s general statements about the gradual deterioration of their relationship. Once, four years after the comedy-drama project ended, the 66-year-old tried to shed some light on their non-existent relationship, stating:

“Are we best friends? Nope. We are professional actors. We have our own lives.”

The comment was apparently in response to a report from a news outlet publication alleging that Kim and her co-stars had been at odds over their salary differences. Parker, for his part, has stated in the same report:

“Honestly, we’re all friends, and I wish I saw more of Kim. He mentioned money, and no one should badmouth him for that. People make decisions [that] we have made it worse.”

Evidence of the alleged animosity between the beautiful actresses can be traced back to Kim’s 2017 interview with Piers Morgan, in which she claimed that she and Parker were “never friends.”
