According to the suit, reality stars Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick are being sued for “allegedly hawking the lottery but not releasing any prizes”.
The document claims Kardashian and Disick jointly created a lottery where the winner would get $100,000, 2 first class tickets to LA, a 3-night stay in Beverly Hills, and perhaps the most exciting aspect of winning, they would be able to “shop like Kim Kardashian.”
However, both are now being charged as the lawsuit claims the 2020 lottery is fake and “the real purpose of the lottery is for celebrities to work with an Australian company”.
An Australian company, Curated, was also sued, claiming it had sold personal information to advertisers.

At that time, and according to the case, the winner of the lottery was announced via Instagram, however, the winner’s Instagram account was soon changed to private.
A source connected to the Australian company, Curated, responded to the allegations by saying, “every winner is legitimate, has been awarded their prize and the company has the proper paperwork to prove it”.
The suit further alleges that lottery entrants are increasingly “intruded upon by hundreds of advertisers, some of whom solicit Plaintiffs with potentially offensive and unwanted content.”

Again, the lawsuit seeks more than $20 million from each defendant, though only 2 are specifically named — Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick, along with an Australian company.
If you follow any of the Kardashian Klan — you’ve seen this ad. In fact, the lawsuit shows that several family members and other celebrities are promoting the lottery, including Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Sofia Richie, Gretchen Rossi, and Christine Quinn.
A quick google search returned this answer about the legitimacy of this lottery. “On the Curated Businesses website, they have an entire page dedicated to past contest winners, showing pictures and Instagram handles of any lucky winners. This may seem like a fraudulent way to gain followers, but it’s not a real scam. So, that’s it.”

Another article put it this way, “They state that their service is a form of “online advertising,” and they boast of huge growth from their past campaigns. In the Kylie Jenner Saint Laurent giveaway from May, they say that participants gained 230k new followers and experienced a “dramatic increase in website traffic.”
